Hello all, potential 19' base AWD GT (with the smexy red leather interior) buyer here. Found what seemed to be a gem of a deal on a CPO out of NJ. (I live in MI) They were asking $32900 @ 31k miles. From searching, it seemed like it may have been the cheapest CPO in the country. I managed to knock it down $200 bucks (they didn't want to budge an inch) for an OTD of $35136 or so. Before I sign paperwork, just wanted to check in. Any other info I can provide?

I dont think thats bad ar all if its getting you something you really want. There are people here that have paid considerably more and some slightly less. I have 2 AWD 4 cylinder base 2019/2020 models in my area with similar miles for 35,995 and 38,000 respectivly . No good clean low mile GT Awds available in my area for about 4 months.
Thats actually less then i paid for my 2018 last fall . I paid 33,500 but i only had 17,5k and is Kia certified so i feel like i got a great deal .

No, it's not Fette although I feel like any dealer I go to in NJ will be nothing but con artists after this experience LOL

I don't think that's bad. I paid $37k for the same car new in Feb 2019. In these times, I think $32k is better than most are paying for similar cars.

Make sure you get everything in writing and ask about any BS fees they might try to add, get the OTD pricing before moving forward and committing.

Comparing OTD prices on a site that is global is a bit useless. Even if the site were nationwide. You should post your baseprice + TTL. Then it's more of an apples/apples comparison.

That said, used car market is still drastically inflated. Don't buy now unless you really need/want it.

What he said....CarMax gave me $18k for my 2017 Prius Prime with nearly 90k miles on it...WTF??

Yeah it is bad to buy a car now.

Excellent time to get RID of any cars not needed or using! We got my son a 2018 Chevy Volt 1 years ago, it's now worth $4k more than when we bought it, tho it has 11k more miles on it.

I get that, especially in these ridiculous times. Unfortunately, my 10 Legacy GT decided it didn't want to have a safe subframe assembly anymore (basically rusted away) and my heart was set on these since owning a GenCoupe (not that they're that similar).

^^Fair enough. Sucks to be the one whose lease expires now or least year.

Unlike majority, i truly believe it will be even worse in the near future. The money will continue to loose value, and you'll be paying more for everything. 5 years from now, used 6-7 year stinger might cost more dollars than today's msrp

Actually, you can turn that lemon into lemonade, buy out the lease, sell the car for profit. My Aunt has a 2018 Honda Civic, she told me Honda offered her $2k just to turn the car back in!

Many/most are buying out their leases right now, that's how bass ackwards the car market is.

With what you're saying that is a steal I paid quite a bit more and I'm still very happy at 70000 miles now no problems I would buy it

^^yeah, pretty good price id say. For reference, I sold a 2017 Toyota Prius Prime with 90k miles for $18k to CarMax last month...crazy

I bought a mint 2019 Camaro SS2 6.2l with 19k miles in Jan 21 for 31.5, 48k sticker. Carmax paid me 39.6 in Dec 21 with 12k more miles. Crazy. Found deal on 22 gt line awd sun and sound for 2.5k net under sticker including the 1k rebate. Having driven a gt2 in 2018 and again in 2022 and with my driving a 4 second car for 2 years, the 2.5l is a great motor in the stinger and a 3.3l and more goodies were just not worth 16k more to me.
