PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Oh my I wanted a tune but I didn't know one came with the car. Yep that's right, I am now the new owner of the car that is displayed in page one of this thread. Now if only I would find out what was changed in the tune and if I can run Cali 91 "premium" in it.
Edit: I can run 91. Lose a few ponies but no biggie. That's one question answered. Now how would I operate the exhaust cutouts? Anyone?
Should be a controller or push button somewhere lol

The Tranny was more than warmed up :) not sure but it has to be a false reading to the a sensor in the ECU perhaps , the shop is going call Scott at Pressertech tomorrow:)
Are you just getting LC cut for 1 second at like at 5-10 mph or are you overboosting and losing all boost until restart?
Also are you running any e85?

Just after I launch with in the first shift it with the gas to the floor it will it cutout and I back off the gas a bit then just go to 3/4 things are ok as long as I don't floor it , I know with practice I can keep it from losing the Boost ,, with MY RC Chip after they sent a lower Psi Map no over spooling but less power of course .. I remember asking John about my limp mode and he advised me to reinstall my cats , as the problem only happened after I had the Jun Bl down pipes put on which had no secondary Cats :( and of course those were gone by that time !!

Does this only happen with LC or just flooring it? Still trying to figure out if its just LC cut or over boost.
Secondary cat removal barley increases overboost, primaries certainly do.
Overboost also doesn't always go limp mode. Blow off sounds?
LC will always cut quick under 15 mph.

It did it both on LC and after I hit full throttle later and it did it again and I had Owen from Classified Motorsport to ride along when it did again !

Same thing as when I was using the strongest race map before !

NO blow off sounds at the time as well :)

Over boost or throttle cut for knock or low fuel pressure. Yes you really do need logging.

yes I am using A Stage 2 tune which still works within the OEM safe limits ! There must been lots of pressure resistance with the secondary cats on , and now with them off and only primaries Cats , perhaps the exhaust is leaving to quick causing it to mess up on hard throttle pulls on bigger PSI tunes .) just my thoughts !

Are you the first stage 2 tune?

According to Todd when I had mine done, it is Stage 2. It's in the review thread (but not in the original post, later on during the discussion.)
 
Mine is stage 2 and no issues. Only difference mentioned is you have 0 cats

What, you have your primary cats? I thought you did not have those either?

I have mdpipes/secondary cat delete and no issue. I've hit 18.5 lbs of boost so far. I will go out tomorrow and log some runs.

I still have the primary cats with the JUn BL secondary down or mid pipes cat less , hooked up with a Borla type S cat back exhaust , no problems before with just the Borla exhaust but with the jun BL down added , perhaps my car needs a bit more back pressure just to slow the exhaust flow just a little:)

Your catback in combo with the Secondary cat removal may be your issue, or you may have another issue on your car. Especially considering the awful results you had with the piggyback.

My Pressertech tune is also stage 2 without secondary cats, but I still have the original exhaust otherwise. The Kia pipes are quite thin right before the mufflers....

My set up exact same as yours, I did also add resonators to my midpipes cuz I noticed drone, that fixed the drone.

Your missing the back pressure you need, the stock turbos cannot keep up with increased boost demands.the limiting factor here is not the tune but the stock turbos combined with the tune and lack of back pressure. Replace your cats and I bet problem is fixed.

Yes I agree ☝️ this makes sense indeed, as the Borla I believe release a quick air flow then with cats gone it has even less back pressure on it :)
