PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Quick update:: I tired a launch before work yesterday , and at -7 at 6:50 am perhaps the colder weather and dense air , made my car go into limp mode for a bit , then , then changed road s and , as I was up at 30 k , I hit it hard again and the tune did it job and gained quickly to 180 k , just as side since the secondary cat were removed with the new secondary down pipes these has even my PIGGY back , the tune has improved the way the car takes the fuel indeed :)
Did you hit boost limp mode from a dead stop launch? And at -7 C / 20 F. Its hard to overboost from a dig.
Try 4th gear at 3 or 4000 rpm manual shift or just go 3/4 throttle (no kick down) and see what happens. That is where most people overboost.
At just 20 PSI you shouldn't be overboosting.

All depends on where his targets are set. Could be 17 for all we know.

Just saying with primary cats in 20 degrees from a dig it shouldn't over boost at any target, let alone on a fairly conservative tune.

The launch went fine but 2500 to 3000 k she hit limp mode, so I will just try a 3/4 peddle and the next chance to launch tomorrow snow again :)

What is "30 k" and "180 k"? Then later you say "2500 to 3000 k"?

What does that mean?

Arnie, I think you have something else going on with your car. Are you sure it's going into limp mode due to overboost? What code are you getting?

Perhaps get in touch with your tuner and see what the deal is. Who knows, maybe your map sensor is just jacked.

Tranny wasnt warm? That would be a kia safety, not a tune. You said before work.

If it just cut briefly for 1 second during launch it is what Madhouse says, a cold trans or finicky LC. If you lost all boost or only have 2 or 3 PSI boost until you restart your car that is limp mode overboost and there typically is no code. The 1 second LC cut is common, the overboost limp is a tuning issue.

I recall Todd telling me that if I had my primary cats removed and my car went into limp mode he'd have to adjust the tune accordingly with the data at that time

No codes thrown and this afternoon after I went to the speed shop and took the fellow who got things setup and did another launch and it did again twice so it perhaps is sending a false over boost to ECU sensor :)

It seems like ever sense the secondary cats were removed with the JBL down pipes this has been a issue with a strong map or now tune :(

The Tranny was more than warmed up :) not sure but it has to be a false reading to the a sensor in the ECU perhaps , the shop is going call Scott at Pressertech tomorrow:)

Email pressertech, they will work with u

At the very least get some logs even if it's just elm327 and torque pro

Oh my I wanted a tune but I didn't know one came with the car. Yep that's right, I am now the new owner of the car that is displayed in page one of this thread. Now if only I would find out what was changed in the tune and if I can run Cali 91 "premium" in it.
Edit: I can run 91. Lose a few ponies but no biggie. That's one question answered. Now how would I operate the exhaust cutouts? Anyone?
