• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Pictorial where did you go in your Stinger today

Back now: two days of ten plus hours out and reverse to get back home, heh. I am glad to report that I had no adventures, as in people scaring the crap out of me with their driving: I might have been the source of that sort of thing to more than one other driver, because I get impatient with the way people hog the left lane, and the instant I get an opening, Bam! it's kickdown switch time: I do a lot of passing fast, then slow back down to under ten over.

The pics: my car from my daughter's kitchen window (this is in Milwaukee), and from my hotel window; the lookout tower on Lapham peak, and one panorama shot in one direction, I think it's SW because of the radio tower, but they all look about the same: kind of boring but also pretty: the next pic is looking NE (those are not people I know). The last pic is a road that NAV took me on (I just follow directions, hah), and I thought that the combination of rolling ground, copious roadside flowers and patches of cloud shadow and sunlight made for an interesting shot.

This one is included to illustrate just how empty I-80 can get in the middle of Nebraska.

As I figured, each time I gassed up (except the last time), my MPG hovered near 24.5 to not quite 25 MPG. But the final leg from east of Evanston to Salt Lake City saw a surprising 31 MPG

(PS, my TPMS/psi screen came back to life returning from Lapham Peak, then died the next day c. two hours before my drive was done; then this morning *boink* it was back and still hasn't dropped again :unsure:)

Drove up and over US441 from Gatlinburg, TN to Cherokee, NC. Only about 30 miles but it is quite the drive. I don't know how this isn't classed as one of the great drives in the US. Stopped at the top to take some pictures, the car was registering over 60 MPG for the trip down.

Illinois Stinger meet. I think there were around 45 total but only 37 stuck around for this pic.
Wow indeed, that has to be some kind of Stinger meet record. What a collection (I even see a single Silky Silver back there on the end of the row of Ceramic Silvers).

Is that the road that goes through the park? I think I was on once or twice but all the tourist traffic made it unpleasant (too slow). Speed limit was 25 or 30 mph iirc. Ironically, on the NC side, not too far from where I got my last ticket, some decade + ago.

That's just a "skosh" longer than Tail of the Dragon ;), next door to the west. The Dragon also has a 30 MPH speed limit, which is largely ignored. Instead, they put up signs like this:

^^Ok, I google streeted viewed the south portion, that is the road that goes through the park. Unless you hit it when there's no tourists, it's eh at best. Better off doing the southern 50-100 miles of BRP. More exciting, less traffic.

That is the road through the park. Speed limit is 35 MPH, so not real quick. The only place there was any real traffic was near Cherokee when a herd elk decided to cross the road. Otherwise, there were quite a few cars, but everyone was moving at or just above the speed limit.

^^^ Put some cushioning material between that "cable" and the edge of your deck lid!? (Ditto the bottom edge of the hatch.)

That's a picturesque lake. But I'd be too worried about damaging the Stinger getting that kayak up and down!

Strange, higher pressure in the front? Are those the recommended values over the pond?

This is on my EU-spec sticker:

Yes. Don't ask me why the very same car would have different psi recommendations. It could be a RWD/AWD thing?
