Oil feed pipe Recall on stinger

But even reading stories like this, I am very hesitant on getting this done. I think I’m just gonna’ skip getting it done. I don’t need any problems because I don’t have any problems.

I wonder how wise that is. If the flex pipe bursts it's burning the car down, and the problem area is very hard to inspect. And even if you could, I don't know how much visual warning you'd get before catastrophic failure.

It's a very rare issue, and statistically you're probably right to avoid gambling your car with the kia service shop. But if it DOES fail, how will the writeoff be handled if you refused the recall service?

"Bursts"? I haven't read of any bursting oil feed pipes. They get heat stressed and start to leak. Nothing sudden has happened. It is a visible oil leak and some smoke from the engineroom from dripping oil on the hot pipe, etc. At the very first sign of dripping oil, that would be the time to get in pronto and do the recall.

so here’s the failed turbo oil pipe feed. Not sure how it got burst but after replacing it with a new pipe, my stinger is all good to go no more leak

Though his car didn't burn up

Got mine done a couple weeks ago, although this was through a new Genesis dealer in Las Vegas, and a G70, all went well for me.
