No sound from stereo!

EASIEST THING TO DO IS stick a pen in the radio reset button.
and it will reset the entire system and usuallly clears this up
It came back after turning the car on/off and deselecting clariFi option. Will keep this in mind the next time it happens.

Hmm. For me, I get this randomly happening with FM (mostly) and IIRC, USB at times. The issue for me is the "Audience" or "Stage" setting of surround-sound or whatever. Switching it back to "Reference" always fixes the issues for me (i.e. just cycle through the 3 settings). Then, next time, it usually works again. I really like the way the "stage" setting sounds, compared to reference, so I always keep it on that when possible.

Seems like there's a race condition during startup somewhere that messes things up sometimes.. Still haven't figured out what triggers it.

Had the car at the dealership for service last week Friday and mentioned the sound issue. Of course it was working then, but they reset it anyway. And of course, it goes out twice in less than a week. More frequent than ever before. Is this not something the dealerships are aware of? Can the radio be replaced under warranty?

It does not affect all cars, unfortunately yours is affected. Dealership is likely unaware of the issue.

Yup, you just have to convince them the intermittent problem exists. They likely need to witness the issue at least once.

If you can identify a sequence of events that causes the issue to occur, that would probably convince them.

If it is truly random, it's very difficult to diagnose a random intermittent issue.

Yes, I think this was the setting another post mentioned. I have turned this off before. Turned it back on after several months and had no issues. Figured updates to android auto may have fixed the issue. I am trying to remember if it happened more often during the colder weather.
Definitely not Android Auto related, I solely connect via Bluetooth and this was happening regardless of source, method of connection, or device type. This is absolutely a problem with QuantumLogic, I turned mine on about a month ago not knowing this was an issue, just started today on my ride home from work. Turned it off, worked perfectly.
