New Stinger Indigo Special Edition!

Not sure on square setup? New to me.
Nope. Staggered: reinforcing the theory that the dealer swapped wheels from a GT and took the Indigo new rims and gave them to somebody else. You have staggered Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires (summer rubber), and the "Y" rating (rated at over 186 MPH) proves it. No A/S for you! :D So, you are 8" wide in front, 8.5" wide in the rear.

The primacy a/s is staggered as well just not those pilot tires!

I didn't know that. I thought that all the A/S tires on the Stinger were squared setup.

yes sir! i do believe only awd models that came with 18's were square. 19"'s are staggered. my fronts/rears. 20201105_075848.webp20201105_075809.webp

Well, @Stinger4Life doesn't have staggered A/S: his tires are PS4, you can tell by the "Y". Since his window detail sheet says "A/S limited to 149 MPH", its evident that the tires/wheels that came with the Indigo were swapped out for summer GT 19" wheels and tires.

yes, sorry wasn't saying anything about his. :) was just verifying that the indigo all season "unique" 19" wheels are the same staggered dimension as the 19" regular wheels, just a different design.

Yea, still learning all this and some are saying the rims are dipped and don't come black factory. So not sure if they are maybe powder coated so not sure if the dealer did or had custom OEM black ones.

Not that I've ever heard. Your wheels are either painted, dipped or powder coated; and that is a good guess, that the dealer had it done.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm about to purchase an Indigo Special Edition. I've been researching and stalking the Stinger for a long time now, but I'm finally going to get one. I fell in love with the Special Edition, but the price was a little too high for my budget. Then yesterday, I found one for just $35,000! This guy bought it for his wife, but after a month or two she didn't like it and made him trade it in for a Volvo instead. So, I came across this Indigo Special Edition with 1,200 miles on it at a Volvo dealership in AZ for just $35K. Unfortunately, I live far away in Florida, but I'm making arrangements with the dealer to ship it to me. The cost savings ($600) of flying out there and driving it home isn't worth the 3+ days of my time and 2,000+ miles I would put on the car. My deal is currently in the works, but my out-the-door price (or delivered price) is around $39,500. For some reason, the back of the car is missing the Stinger badge; I'll get the dealer to fix that.

"I can't understand a word you say when you mumble." :P;)

Seriously, I would leap at the chance to drive my brand new Stinger home at that price. What's a couple thousand miles of DRIVING, when it's an adventure? That's what the car was made to do. Instead of paying to have it shipped, ask for some gas money. :D

Congrats! I got mine in July. Love the color inside and out, and so fun to drive!

I understand the adventure of a road trip, but driving 2000 miles on interstates for 3 days doesn't sound like fun. Plus, I want this car to last a long time and don't want to age it any faster. I also discovered that I could have it shipped for just $850 instead of the $1825 the dealer would charge me.

Bought one of these indigo editions back in late October.... the exterior paint is phenomenal, the brown interior is much better in person much darker than the pictures make it seem.

RWD mode works, limited slip works, new transmission tuning is noticeable (I had a GT1 prior before someone hit me and totaled it).

All in all a unique beast. Love it. (miss the radar cruise and lane keep though!)

How do you switch it to RWD mode. I can't figure it out. I went to Settings => Vehicle and didn't find it.

Also, mine came with a dealer installed alarm and tracking system. I got that removed for $115.

Sport mode, hold traction control off.
Once all the stability control is off, the car is sending power to the rear

There isn't a "drive mode" option but the same initial steps as launch control, put it in sport, turn off traction and stability by holding the traction button longer than 3 seconds. The difference being instead of brakes and gas if your steering angle is greater than a certain degree it will be in rwd if you launch with the wheels straight it keeps the front engaged. But if you start going turning the wheel while starting a drift or slide it will be in rwd.
