New Stinger Indigo Special Edition!

The Atlantica was going to have white/beige leather. Trust me if its the same Brown leather offered in our Rafa edition its going to be shocking . Brown and blue/purple not a good match.

The Atlantica at the NY autoshow had a brown interior but not the normal brown that you would expect. It really looked good.

I'm still baffled as the why they didn't offer the brown interior in the US as they did in Korea when the Stinger launched. Doing this special edition stuff, I guess it lets them see if there is a demand for the exterior and interior color and they could add it to the next model year cars. They could have really done like BMW and Audi and do colors like Saddle, Mocha, Cognac, Charcoal, etc., give the Stinger a unique color palette than their other cars. Or at least the brown from the K900.

Just saw the interior color online, I would have preferred the wheel to stay black, the brown steering wheel would take some getting used to.

Why do they offer the GTS and Indigo Edition as stripper cars? Why can I not get all the GT2 goodies with the D-AWD and rear LSD? Good grief, Kia. You wonder why you can't sell these things. Get it right then I'll buy one. I'm keeping my money in the market in the meantime.

Same here. I'd like to get tan upholstery. Black interiors are great except that they get really hot in the summer if you can't tint your windows.

From my experience there really is no difference between brown and black interior, both are essentially dark colours that attract the light very well but the main difference is in the glass quality of the car. The black interior on a F11 BMW was absolutely unbearable because of poor glass material compared to the newer Stinger and its black interior.
The cooled seats on the Stinger help neglect most of the heat very quickly anyway, so I would say that for any leather interior having cooled seats is much more important than having a heat friendly color.

I saw the interior images online also. Not really what I had in mind. The shade of brown they chose to use is pretty gross and there is way too much of it. If it were just the seats and some of the lower trim it would be ok and more of a chocolate brown or a lighter camel brown. Not the baby poop brown they went with...

I prefer a 2 tone to break things up, this reminds me of Volvo's "butter" interior. The carpet, seats, headliner, doors, etc. was the same color. They had it on a special and was trying to sell me on it as a car that lots of Volvo buyers love. Nope, not me. KIA also tried it with a Optima hybrid, beige all over, couldn't do it. If someone gets it and don't like it, they could probably trade some parts with someone with a black interior. Swap steering, door cards and center console and gear shift cover. I know Genesis did something similar with the G70 and giving one a green interior on launch, it's new and unique but I don't think they had many takers.

Haha. Yeah, I'm not down with that tone of brown either. Looks old man-ish...like it should be in a 90's Lincoln or Cadillac.

Does this special paint peel off automatically like the yellow?

Absolutely, all our Kia's have had black interior and never been an issue, tinted windows and heated / cooled seat works a treat. Plus they are so practical with kids, dogs to add to the equation.

Resisted commenting but can't any more..

Reminds me of all the puke brown toyotas running around with TRD on the side - TURD brown. Yup!
I was being very diplomatic but you said it !

Looks like a tone of "SHARKY" somewhere between Shit and Khaki....
I think you nailed the description, not nice IMO but will appeal to some so that’s good too.

Saw one up close today. The exterior paint is phenomenal, but the interior shades seemed better in person than on video or photos. Definitely considering this model over a CPO as my choice to own.
