Kill Tally

I'm just glad mine looks fast standing still:D.

So far the only cars that have tried to race me on the street have been a number of Ford Focuses and one Dodge truck with racing stripes. I assume they just wanted to see a Stinger in action and weren't really expecting to win. Mustangs rev at me but it's always when they're going the opposite direction.

Another. F@#$ing. Camry.

Whatever.

I never got challenged. But there was a challenger driving behind me. Road was single lane, so when I stopped and then made a left turn, that guy smoked his tires and drove. I wish it was 2 lane road, could have been fun.

I think my "town" is wising up to me... I haven't had a challenge in months, but when I first got it, it was like everyone wanted to see what it could do... I'm also the only white Stinger in town, so every time I smoked someone, there were plenty of witnesses

I had some model of C6(?) Vette behind me on the highway. Nailed it and put several car lengths on him and then I slowed down, whereupon he came up on me like a missile. This happened several times. It should have at least been as fast as our Stinger GT, not sure why it was like that?

Camaro SS (5th gen/6th gen?) got on my side from a slow roll. Driver grinned, and off we went. He took a 1/2 car length and that was it, stayed with him through 2nd gear and then we slowed for traffic.

The Stinger GT performs well. Very well.

Probably because you a) accelerated before he did and b) he was behind you and didn't want to end up in your bumper.

Or maybe a) he had a manual trans and didn't know how to shift b) he didn't have the ability to control his car.

FINALLY, another victim... :sneaky:

Of course, it was a stomp, but... Pontiac GTO (late model 5.7L, the Holden), revving the absolute shit out of his car, went under an underpass and he just kept going at it to hear it echo. I'll continue to admit: our Stingers will never sound as good as a V8. It was lowered with aftermarket wheels, couldn't really hear anything else since the exhaust was so (pleasantly) loud. I couldn't get next to him, no opportunity, but he was getting spirited off the lights, sooo... he was finally at the front of the stoplight and I was right behind him. As I suspected, he took off moderately, noticed I was keeping up and stomped on it. Obviously, with the gap we have made from the traffic, I stomped on it shortly after as I moved over a lane and proceeded to jog him like it was nothing... all the while quietly envying the fact that I could not hear my own car over his thunderous V8 roar :geek: Had at least 5 cars on him by 100MPH, let off and waited for him to catch up and gave him a thumbs up for the exhaust, and he let out another rev as he slowed down and went to a turn lane. :geek:

Aside from launch, my Stock LS2 c6 M6 will pull a stinger everywhere on the speedometer. More power less weight...easy math. Stock c6’ run mid-low 12s with usually horrible 30foot times on stock run flats.

You wouldn't happen to live anywhere in the tri state area? NY/NJ/PA or anything like that? because I would love to test that c6 in person

Sorry no..but you honestly believe a stock 365/375 and 4000lbs will dance with a 400/400 3200 lb car from a roll? Seriously? A bit over confident IMO. My gt2 is fast, it sure is but it’s not running 10-180 mph vs an ls2/ls3 car in stock form

Never said my gt2 was stock

Here we go again... This thread eventually brings out the silliness. Posts get deleted. And the cycle goes on. This time, someone just had to get off topic and talk about their C6 Vette, obviously baiting Stinger owners to challenge a sports coupe with a five-door GT. Based on the numbers presented, tuned Stingers have been documented to be able to hang with that Vette. And while the Vette is sleeping in the garage when the snow's flying, the Stinger's still out having fun!

What is your point of conversation? A modified jb4 car vs my factory stock car? Wasn’t my point at all. Waste of time even typing responses to you. I would hope my GT limited would do the same with a piggyback.

There is really no debate because it’s ridiculous comparing an old 6m sports car to a new 8a luxury GT.

But just have to say the Stinger is way under rated and multiple dynos proved the real numbers are about 400/470. That would make it much more interesting and if it’s only 0.1 sec off to 60mph and 0.2 sec off the 1/4m the Stinger would still put up a fight and could win depending how well/poorly that manual is shifted.;)

And lol nobody “roll races” from 10mph and good luck getting to 180mph anywhere.

The issue with the C6 is the LS2 is "peaky" compared to the Stinger 3.3 V6:

LS2 Torque - 400 lb-ft @ 4400 rpm
3.3T Torque - 376 lb-ft @ 1300 rpm

And lol nobody “roll races” from 10mph and good luck getting to 180mph anywhere.

Even from a roll, the C6 falls behind the 5-60 mph run:

C6 LS2 5-60 mph: 5.2 sec
Stinger 3.3T 5-60 mph: 5.0 sec

I don't think a roll race would start at 5mph either or anywhere in 1st gear for that matter.
