Been talking with people about some of the reasons that Stingers seeing declining sales. Besides the 'It's a Kia' issue, one point that was brought up was that the type of person who would buy a Stinger may expect a certain level of service at the dealer which KIA often falls short in reaching. I personally have noticed that my local KIA dealer looked at my car like it was a UFO when I brought it in to get tires installed. The job also took much longer than one would expect (like to the tune of 4 hours - including wait, even though I booked the earilest appointment and was 30mins early). I was told 'We wanted to be very careful with the low profile rims'. A local tire shop swapped my tires months later (went from allseasons back to stock summers) and it took a fraction of the time.

So anyway, Genesis is a luxury brand and have their 'Concierge' service and so on. Should KIA offer something like this to attract more buyers? Has anyone tried to take their Stinger to Hyundai/Genesis dealer?

Well, a local tire shop scratched all four of my rims installing the tires, so I'm inclined to believe them.
Low profile tires can be done on a regular machine, but there are better ones that a performance oriented shop likely has (plus experience).
I've used two dealerships. One was decent (but slow) and the other was terrible. KIAs are a mass market brand and the service centers always seem to be running at 110% capacity (in a big metroplex at least). No time for personalized service.
If your city has an actual genesis dealer (not just a Hyundai dealer with a fancy sign) you might be able to get paid service done, but I wouldn't count on warranty work. It's worth a shot.

Fair point. You are taking a chance when you go to local shop that isn't necessarily geared toward performance/high-end vehicles.

I don't think I've ever seen a Genesis dealer stand alone from the Hyundai lot, like you might for Lexus or Infiniti. However, I have limited experience with dealerships as my last car (and only other car I have owned long-term) was an old Ford Fusion and I really didn't care where it got serviced nor had I any interest in making any modifications to it.

You're looking for a generalization, but every single dealer is different. Here in Atlanta, we have multiple "branches" under the same name, and each one is radically different. I had dealt with the same sales guy for years who told me stories about how the different branches operated. He ended up leaving over it. When I was ready to purchase a Stinger, the behavior from them was bad enough to cause me to fly 500 miles to buy from a "good" dealer.

So will a Genesis dealership be better than KIA? How long is a piece of string...

While I can't be positive about the dealership I purchased the car from in December 2017, I should say that Pantili Hyundai in Princeton WV were very accommodating when we arrived there on a late afternoon in February 2018.
The new car was crusted up with ice & salt after a long drive from Canada and we were looking to get rid of the mess, but every car wash was closed to due below freezing temperatures.
We asked whether they could help us out and the staff and management took us in like old friends offering refreshments and proceeded with a hand wash.
Our experience was so positive, that we repeated it a year later, by which time we were "old friends".
This year we took a different route and did not manage to meet up with them. Googled Pantili and found excellent ratings which I consider truthful.
It shows, that one can have good (and bad) experiences anywhere.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

No their just hyundai stand only. The dealer told me that they are still trying to get the Genesis brand going.
