You should have just bought a low mileage used vehicle and put that down payment into it.

What made you decide to lease + give $5500?

I'm the same way, as I rely on my car to get to work and clients. Too many unknowns buying used.

However, I buy the car and avoid leasing. Most non-Covid years I put on a lot of miles (anywhere from 10-25k) depending on work and play.
