{{ ImportShark }} NEW! NGM's Two New Axleback Exhausts

They're in production now guys. No product on hand to take any more vids. ETA end of the month.

Hey Mike. No rush but just curious if you have any updates or ETA on interior videos?

I must say you guys are pretty demanding requesting do this and that and don't forget the other.. ... Lol

I totally agree! Thanks for bringing it up!

I'm really unsure why @ImportSharkMike gets treated like lets says Trump? The guy is offering parts for our platform. I understand wanting details of the product but to go to a point where your almost harrasing is really childish. If he doesn't provide enough info for you then buy elsewhere and leave the harassment out if it. I have dealt with mike personally and had no issues. Does he do everything perfectly? Do you know anyone who does? I'm not sure where anyone gets to demand a vendor to do something then trash him when he doesn't? No one is making you buy his products....I have not seen one single video from a manufacturer of an exhaust of the interior sound. If I'm wrong trash me as I didn't search everywhere...but for gods sake give our vendors some dam leadway!

Reputations can be hard to overcome. There can be a tendency to read more into comments than is actually there.

Seems like a few folks have started piling on.

Since this has been brought back up after being dead for over a month let me remind some people the simple reason why we asked Mike for interior videos: he has the exhaust on his car. It's that simple. That's the only reason, and it's very valid.

Magnaflow/Borla/Thermal owners aren't riding around in Stingers.

It's also already been explained by Mike that he couldn't get it done because he doesn't/didn't have the car at the time.

No one is "piling on" or treating him like Trump (whatever that even means). We had a reasonable request, he explained why it wasn't feasible, we all moved on...over a month ago.

I don't have the exhaust on my car actually. Haven't had it since the middle/end of April.

Anyhow, the last pre-production NGM's are expected very soon. They're a little behind schedule based on the last projection but I just got an email last night from the factory. They're trying to get the axlebacks AND midpipes done at the same time, which is why things got pushed back a bit. I specifically told them I wanted the axlebacks first, but then again that's how dealing with foreign manufacturers goes. Sometimes they do what they want--and it's not like the Kia market is going to justify huge spending, so I'm not going to constantly check in for updates. In fact, that's usually the best way to start having issues with a factory, so I'm letting them do their thing and am sure they'll pop up soon with everything ready to go. Since they reached out last night unsolicited, I know things are nearly done.

Hey Mike. Just checking if these exhausts are ready, and when you may get them in stock? Also, curious if you still plan to release any more videos? Any updates are appreciated and thanks in advance.

This is still a thing? We were promised info back in May. It's almost August. Good thing I wasn't holding my breath.

I know of one person that ordered one. He said he cancelled it a couple of months later due to issues with the vendor.

They're still making these but changed the Omega mufflers to better differentiate from the Zeta. The Omega was still pretty loud and they decided to go with beefier mufflers. The additional delay is also due to NGM's factory deciding to do midpipes and downpipes for both the 2.0L and 3.3L at the same time. I'll just post an update when they send the final version and we have a confirmed ETA.

Joining in on the discussion. I want tondo a muffler delete and intakes to start then perhaps the FMIC. Figured the Zeta would be the easiest way to go as a 1 for 1 swap with oem. Zeta sounds great IMO and price is 50-75% cheaper than the big name catbacks. Would like to know, rather "hear" what I'd be getting into if I go with the Zeta. I'm guessing it will sound like Tork's muffler delete video, some drone but not terrible (I hope). Any updates? I've got some time, gotta get my Sunset Yellow paint issue fixed 1st.....

I believe Tork's was a full turbo-back exhaust setup (part of which were muffler deletes). That would definitely cause a lot of the bubbling and raspy sounds that you probably heard and, I assume, disliked. We've got vids of the Zeta and Omega on Youtube and on our website in the product listings if you'd like to check those out.

NGM is definitely still doing these, but with a couple changes that we requested and then they did on their own, it unfortunately backed things up more than I could have possibly expected. For whatever reason, they just don't make a change on one product and send out an update--they wait for all changes to each item are ready to go and then make the new version. We literally just received the final pre-production samples of both axlebacks. The main change of note is the Omega mufflers are a lot bigger. From feedback we gave and received from customers who purchased the original versions, there wasn't much difference in overall loudness between the Omega and Zeta. They ended up switching from the small round mufflers to a larger oval one--which, naturally, will reduce the overall sound. (It'll still be louder than a catback though). Thankfully they are able to keep the pricing the same which was a big concern for us. As soon as I have some time this week (most likely Friday or Saturday), I'm going to slap each of them on my Stinger and hopefully give them the go-ahead for production.

Thanks for the update. I look forward to hearing those mufflers both while driving (inside) and from outside.

Any update on this? Is there currently inventory or are we still in the pre-order stage? Thanks.

The Zeta is in production and should be shipping out within the next few weeks. I'm not sure what's going on with the Omega. We got in 3 versions to test out--the first two had too much drone and the latest just has an odd sound at wide open throttle. (Absolutely zero drone though). It's taking so damn long that we're about to tell them to just forget about the Omega at this point. Its not NGM's fault--it's their damn factory that's taking so long. Every time there's the tiniest revision, it's like a wait of a couple months.

They also did mid-pipes and those are ready for final test fitting btw. We should have those in hand shortly. I'm kinda intrigued to see how they do with the OEM mufflers.

Thanks for the information. However now I’m hesitating on which one maybe better.

If you’re saying the Omega with small mufflers had too much drone then the Zeta must be significantly worse. Drone isn’t a huge factor for me but now you have me questioning the Zeta. I may have to wait until the interior videos and hope you’ll be able to post them soon.
