How to remove and replace the rear badge on the Kia Stinger

Hey guys, so once you get the badges off, you all seem to be using goo-gone to remove the adhesive. Is there any reason to use that over a label and sticker remover? My only thoughts are that goo gone is probably stronger then label remover and considering all of the issues with paint quality, maybe go with the lesser strength? I may be overthinking/worrying but figured i'd ask.

With my Optima, I diluted goo gone and it still worked like a charm!

Hey guys! So I ordered my logos a few weeks ago but due to the damned strike going on with the Canadian post service, I still have not received mine. Now, that is not the issue that I am planning on discussing. I had a ceramic coating appointment arranged many weeks ago and I had to get that done yesterday... My current logos are the default Kia badges.

My question to all you pros, will debadging after ceramic coating have an affect on adhesion of the ‘stinger’ logo on top of the ceramic layer? Further, how stupid and bad would it look for the areas that have not been ceramic coated (such as beneath the kia emblem or its perimeter)?

Debadging after the ceramic coating is added will not promote adhesion problems when you install your new badges. However I highly recommend debaging before the ceramic coating is installed, that way any imperfections that come from removing the old badges, will be taken care off/removed before adding the coating.

When you remove the small Stinger on the rear, there aren't any holes, right? I won't be getting AWD, so what @Aquadog did wouldn't work for me. I definitely want the large Stinger across the back tho. I don't think I mind the unbalanced look of only the GT on the back, but want to make sure I don't need to put something there. Or, does anyone have suggestions of what else to put on the back for a RWD GT? Thanks!

I think the 3.3TT badge would look good and balanced. I looked at the twin turbo badges but thought they looked too long, I think it looks better with something short .

There is a car detailing shop where I live and they do rebadging, so I think I will leave it to professionals even though it will cost me because although those DIY vids look easy, if I scratched my new Stinger ( which I'm getting next year ) I would totally freak .

It's entirely personal taste, the rear with the large Stinger badge looks great, and i think that is the way it should have been from factory, sort of what Hyundai did with the Genesis , but i 100 per cent like the Kia badge, each their own i say, and like @Flameangel mentioned, i would lose my mind or freakout if the badge removal , or new badge placement goes wrong, but that's me....

yeah, up to you but I really like the big stinger script at the back. I like the " flying k " badges because I think they look stylish especially for such a awesome looking car.I also think the " K " badges at least seem more like a Kia badge so it's not taking any credit away from Kia. I mean it's never worried me about the stock badges ,as we have them on my current Optima and my husband's cerato.
I thought long about weather to leave it from factory but then got really excited when I found the stinger store and k8 stinger store and realised a lot of people are modifying their cars to their individual tastes .

Optical illusion, i used a level to put them on, triple checked they are straight.

ok , try this ( this is what the body shops do )....................place a a small length of masking tap on the upper edge of the GT running it out pasr the left and right by 2 inches or so , do the same on the bottom edge of the TT . measure the distance between the tap on the left and compare to the right .............I'll bet you there is are a few mm diff between the left and right side . not saying your TT isnt level , saying it isnt level with the GT ...................
