Help with hardwiring a dashcam.

Offline recording capability on front Vantrue N2 Pro dashcam and an average Rexar dashcam in the rear. Both are functional when car is turned on but front will always be recording with an external battery customized in the trunk of the vehicle.

Which model of BlackVue are you guys running?

See my answers above, I have a BlackVue front only installed, hard wired, I had a mobile auto electrician recommended by my dealer who came to my home, took him no more than 15mins. If you fry the electric system due to ignorance/negligence you may as well throw the car away. Use a licenced guy to do the install, small price to pay for peace of mind.
Camera starts up at start & shuts down at ignition off, you can get a smart box to run constant without draining the battery. I hope this helps.
I was thinking of getting that 1 also ...did you see where he got pwr from ?
you can buy on ebay the hard wire kit ...i think the left side dash panel is removed and fuses are there..
Cheers

Power was picked up from inside the fuse panel on the lower right hand side.

I just wired my dashcam and radar detector to the switched power in the overhead console. The power required is so minimal compared to the lights, sun roof, rain sensor, etc., I didn't worry about the added draw.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
has anyone noticed since adding a camera that the idle stop and go feature simply no longer works? seems like since i installed the camera the idle stop and go has only worked 2 days since, kinda weird
I had the owlcam installed and my auto start and stop also stopped working for a bit. It had something to do with the amount of power left in the battery. All i did was drive a little longer and the start stop came back to normal. I noticed the start stop isn't as active when its cold weather on my car as well. But i don't drive alot.
