Group Buy - ISG (Idle Stop and Go)/Auto Hold, Proximity Lock/Unlock, Heat/Cool setting memory module

Here are some Korean videos from a Genesis & a Stinger:

Cycling Camera with Cruise Adjust buttons (you can do this as long as cruise isn't on):
(Cancel will stop the video, I think it also stops after 20 seconds?)

Blind Spot Warning Triggering the Camera:

Split Screen Turn Signal Video:

I like the cycling ! if we could somehow record those would mean no need for dashcam when we drive at least !
Are the blind sport and turning signal video on all the time with the module or is it something we can turn off ?

From what I can tell, when the blind spot warning goes off, the camera always kicks in.

From my experimentation, Switch 1 turns the turn signal mode off and on, and switch 2 changes if you get split screen or a single wide camera view.

From my poor translation:
"When dip switch 1 is ON, the screen is switched whenever the turn signal is turned on"
"When dip switch 2 is ON, each rear & side split screen is displayed instead of the rear wide screen."

Below is another non-translated manual.

what is the dip switch ? :)

Most of these modules have switches to change settings, but a few don't do anything (Like on the Proximity Module), or some are hard to translate.

Switch 1 selects the display mode - Off: Widescreen, On: Split screen
Switch 2 selects enable mode - Off: Works with BVM + Blinkers(screen display will turn on with blinkers and bvm active), On: Blinkers only(display on regardless of bvm state)

By the time this is over you are going to be fluent in Korean :)

But but but.... I am fluent, I am Korean. :p

Edit: My translation is sketchy at best so take it with grain of salt.
Well shit that explains things I thought you were saying it was hard to translate and you were using Google translate I must be mixing people up LOL

so once this is installed and tucked in, you cant really change the dipswitch then ...

for those who have installed the AVM aka SVM, what have you chose?

I think I might be the only one with an AVM module. I have both options on, and currently like it. The split screen lets me see the curb so I know exactly how close I am. I am still getting used to driving a stinger, it's bigger than I'm used to.

I also have the "always turn on cameras when using turn signals" enabled, currently it's useful, but the only downside is if you are stopped at a light waiting to turn, you cannot turn off the camera to adjust your GPS without turning off your signal. So far this hasn't been a major problem, but it is something I noticed. I think that below 15mph the "always turn on when using turn signals" doesn't engage, but I don't exactly know what speed that is set at. Maybe I just need to wait to turn my signal on until I'm going slow in the turn lane. Worst case, I could turn my signal off, let the camera shut off, then turn my signal back on while stopped to not start the camera.

I installed my proximity module in the fuse box, my AVM module up by the mirror, both can be gotten to with zero tools (the plastic just snaps off). It's not something I'd adjust daily, but it's not hard either.

What type of wiretaps did you use for the installation?

I generally don't do wire taps, I carefully peel back the insulation with an xacto knife, wet the harness wire with some solder, then solder on my new wire, and tightly wrap it with 3M super 33 tape for strain relief.

A USB powered soldering iron like a TS80 works nicely in a car. I also lay down a towel to make sure nothing can drip.

After a week, my proximity door lock module has stopped working o_O

I guess I'll have to tear the panels out again to troubleshoot...

Can you see if the module and check if the power light is on? I mounted my module up in the fuse box area so I can easily see it. It's possible a connection wiggled loose.

That's a good idea. I should be able to see the module just by removing the fuse cover.

2 led should be lit. If not, check power and ground. If there is led, check your CAN-H/L splice and make sure your "welcome" setting is enabled on dash. Also,
For Proximity Module:
Note from the troubleshooting guide,
Do not leave your fob in the car and close the doors. If the car does not detect the fob, it will lock the doors in 10 seconds.

To disable the module, press the trunk button(fob) 3~4x within 2 seconds.
If the mirrors unfold and door unlocks, it is disabled. To re-enable, repeat the key press and mirrors will fold and door will lock.
Make sure you didn't disabled it.

Oh my goodness... I somehow disabled it. I feel quite silly.
Thank you so much for reminding me of this; you saved me a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting!

Looking to see if anyone in Canada would be interested in some module - I might shoot an email to SI to see if they would do a small group buy for Canada

Received the Smart ISG (Idle Stop and Go) (Idle Stop and Go) & Hold module and SVM (Surround View Monitor) yesterday. Now to find time and courage to rip my car apart to install these.
