If you want to ensure it’s absolutely straight, I found a laser level to also be useful.
I really like the black emblem, does import shark post to Australia?Just unboxed the rear Stinger Lettering from Importshark. Weather is bad ATM, so I'm aiming for next weekend to complete.
I think the emblems look best in flat , all mine are on a white GT , but gloss is great tooWhat do you all think looks best on the Ceramic Silver? Matte black or glossy black? My gut tells me that matte black would look better but would it look odd with the glossy black accents that come standard on the Stinger?
I would think whatever u think looks best. I’ve done some different colors to my ceramic until I found the right one. What do you all think looks best on the Ceramic Silver? Just realized that it’s going to be a pain cleaning between the letters.

You like this?Hey Guys, is there anywhere else we can get the stinger script in glossy black without having to pay $85? Seems like a bit of a ripoff from importshark.
I mean, the chrome script from the stingerforum store is only $16, then jumps to $39 for carbon, then just to get it shiny with no carbon from importshark it's $85? See where i'm going here?
Is there any other store that doesn't have such ridiculous charge for black shiny?
You like this?
Pretty sexy no?

Looks great. How long have they been on and how has the finish aged? I'm all for trying this but I've read comments saying that they've had problems with the finish flaking off after a couple of months.

A few weeks.
I’m not worried. Proper prep and allowing time to cure with this kind of paint is fine. Much more forgiving than automotive paint.

Even gone through auto-touchless high pressure car wash.
But yes, only time will tell.
But come on. It’s a friggin $30 badge. And some $10 paint. And takes mild amount of effort to swap.

Prep was minimal (since again, this isn’t automotive paint which would require significantly more effort... sanding, tack cloth, and then wet sanding after... and the badges were new).Have you explained your exact process in another post? Did you just spray it on or did you prep the badges beforehand?
no clear coat ?????Prep was minimal (since again, this isn’t automotive paint which would require significantly more effort... sanding, tack cloth, and then wet sanding after... and the badges were new).
Wiped down with rubbing alcohol.
3 light coats of adhesion promoter (20 minutes apart).
Light tack coat of paint.
4 wet (not overly saturated) coats.
All 20 minutes apart.
Allowed to dry for a few hours.
Carefully transferred indoors to cure in humidity controlled room.
Waited 6 days to install.
