Fuel Tank is Too Small

Absolutely.........NOT lol. I just wished it had bigger tank so I can drive it for longer periods without having to slow down and stop for gas.

I filled up for the first time this AM. I pulled off the highway, and filled up. Got back on the highway and matted the skinny pedal on the on ramp. Just a reminder, that more fill ups = more on ramp blastage

Brings back the chills, of the days when I had AMG's and M cars, constant refills and constant on ramp fun

Pay to play it's amazing the number of people who didn't do their homework before they bought their stinger . Not that any of it would've made any difference to me I love the car . There was one thing I'm just wondering how much a valve adjustment is going to run ?

Is it weird that I almost like that the tank is smaller? It never feels all that expensive to fill (total illusion but still haha) and less fuel equals less weight which satisfies my inner boy-racer.

A bit off topic but yes, i am curious on this too. I have seen the valve cover off and its quite a bit to remove. I have all the special tools to do this on BMW engine so perhaps some can be used. As long as know the spec and can easily remove and install the shims it should not be too bad. Only issue is dropping a shim and potential places for it to go...didnt get that close of a look.

Kind of disappointment. Every time I gas it up, my range is 299 miles. My wife's elantra gets more than that.

Very strange. My 2.0T always shows about 375.

almost half the size of the 26 gallon behemoth I used to fill.........I find myself ....still going to the pump as often.....but not purchasing as much........now If I could just get my hands on one a them 26 gallon tanks........

The fuel tank should be bigger. Although carrying more fuel would be carrying more weight, carrying three more gallons would be carrying another 18.6 pounds but would equate to about almost 90 miles of additional range. An acceptable tradeoff if you ask me. I've read a lot of complaints about the Stingers range on a couple of Stinger forums (this one included) as well as on youtube.

I dont think so. It's been around that much ever since I got the car. Tried different octane, same average. I only use shell so my fuel is consistent. I think it's because I mostly drive in the city with max speed limit of 45 and traffic lights

I'm sure the space is there to add another 3 or 4 gallons to the tank. I can't imagine it being a huge increase in tank volume. But I'm glad you're happy with it. It is a really nice car.

So has anybody actually driven long range in Eco mode? I’m curious what the actual range is. Cruising on the highway in Eco nets me about 28-30MPG

That puts max range at 445-477 miles. Assuming you run the tank dry. Seems like a pretty solid number considering city driving nets me about 250-300
