Fuel Tank is Too Small

A true Gran Turismo would have at least a 20 gallon tank. Maserati Ghibli with 3.0 twin turbo that gets similar mpg as Stinger has 21.1 gallon tank. But I didn’t buy my Stinger for grand touring. So I’m ok with little pee pee tank.

You're unrelenting. :D

Little "pee pee" tank is empty long after my little bladder needs to go pee pee; so this is completely pointless to compare sizes of gas tanks. I always gas up when I stop to wee. If your plumbing allows you to cruise for well over 300 miles between stops (hell, 500 miles if the tank is 21 gallons!), then I have bladder envy.

No I just stop at vineyard or a Michelin star restaurant as I don’t worry about gas in my true GT cars while you’re at some dive gas station eating at a skippymart to fill up that pee pee 15 gallon tank on your grand tour. One less gas stop is a great thing when you are in a true Gran Turismo. Lol!

When I get gas I look around and smell the roses. Only top tier gas stations for me and my girl. You should be arguing from the standpoint of going faster than the lesser mortals around you: that 500 miles you get with your 21 gallon tank is covered in the same time that I can do 300. So we spend the same amount of time between pee stops after all, and you win!

So the tank is supposed to be 15.9 gallons. Has anyone been able to put that much in?

I've gone over 16 gallons doing a complete fill up to the neck, with 11 miles left to empty and got 384 miles (if I recall correctly) before filling up again.

Sure the tank is a bit small compared to other cars I've had, but drive the car smart and you'll get better than the advertised fuel economy. I just came back from a (587 KM-365 miles) trip. With 11km to spare, I'm just a tick over 9 L/100KM or 31MPG. That's decent for a 365 HP beast!
mileage.webp

That's an 1/8th of a tank, not a quarter showing; so 368 range. What are you complaining about?
True, but if they're going 0 MPH, they'll also be getting 0 MPG... ;)

how did you get that kind of mileage? would be interested to know your secret. thx hb
He was in neutral driving downhill from Hawaii’s Kilauea in a hurricane.

my new(400 miles) 2019 GT1 shows 299.. maybe, I'm not filling it all the way I'll try continuing past the "click" from the pump. thx

Mine usually indicates a range of 365 miles.
I think part of it is altitude, how you drive, and octane. Also if on Eco all the time, I imagine better gas mileage...especially if higher octane.

Early miles on mine were all gassed up below 300 Range. Later, it got better. Most of the time my Range is between 310 and 320. The best I ever saw was on a road trip, one stage it showed 380 something, I forget exactly.

i usually get around 290 on avg sometimes 299-305. the other day i drove to vegas filled up and drove on eco mode and drove slow by not flouring it like i usually do, once i drove it up to 140mph.but by the next fill up i got 335 miles full tank

I too like to get on it, maybe that's why I'm not getting better mileage, still amazed at all the power. But I really did not get it for the miles.. thanks for the input. hb
