Does anyone know how to actually remove the front 'A' pillar trim?

The workshop manual is kind of vague and I obviously don't want to damage anything :D

Pull the top part straight out to remove the clip. Then slide the entire A pillar parallel to the door to remove the middle clip.

Thanks DaJackson, that worked a treat & nothing broke! :D

For those wondering, the top clip is a typical 'two-stage' design for cars with air-bags. (Same as my old Ford Falcons BA/FG).

The initial pull will unhook the trim; but it won't be completely free the trim. To then remove completely once the trim is free; you can then unhook the clip

When you say "parallel" to the door, do you mean along the pillar (sort of "upwards") or do you mean straight down?

I didn't need to remove the panel entirely - i just ran the cables down behind the door seal - then ran the cables in via the side of the dashboard.

However to get the panel off entirely it's the same process to begin with by pulling at the top of the trim.

Then once it's hanging loose at the top; you should be able to unhook (slide out) the top clip from the trim.

The trim panel will then be free to lift upwards & out (at a slight angle, etc).

Yup! I figured out that's the best way to do it. Had to poke the cable behind the airbag, but got it all routed.

Surgery pics! Dash cam surgery

(Sorry for necro'ing this thread, but I think these pictures will help some people in the future)

Thanks again @Driver
