Front license plate and brackets

My white Stinger will have black license plates. For the standard front mounting location I am thinking that a high quality stainless steel frame might best compliment the existing "bright work" metal trim that surrounds the grills that are above and below the number plate while helping define the plate itself against the dark bulk of the radiator and inter-cooler grills.

Agreed, still screws into the bumper but at least not in the front.
Looks better for sure , too bad about the holes in my bumper now

Thanks! I like that placement much better. Please post the ordering information when you can and how you like it. I'd be interested to know how it handles a car wash, too.

There are various options for pieces that screw-in and when painted the same color, it actually looks fine. Kinda like front and rear sensors...
Thanks Sal , do you have a link ??

Thanks Amigo , I'm going to play around with this . I dont like the look of the offset plates on the Stinger , despite doing it to other cars I've owned , but dropping it down to the lower grill might look good , ISSUE will it interfer with the turbo intakes ??
Good question. I would not want to block the air coming in at all...

My dealer gave me the car with a long european-like plate holder, the only problem is that we use regular plates, so it looks kind of dumb IMO. I was thinking of buy a cover for the remaining space, something like the bottom image, but still no convinced, I might switch it for a regular holder.

While shopping for a Stinger here in the US, it seems the plate holders are installed at the dealers and not the port. I've asked a few if they would NOT install the front plate holder IF I bought a car that wasn't on the lot yet. Some said No, and one or two said maybe...but as the state I live in requires a front plate holder, they said I wouldn't be able to drive it off their lot without a front plate.

For HJOF, I like the idea of the covers.

Then there's the people who do this...

I've been pulled over for having a (very lightly) tinted cover on my license plates and for having no front license plate here in the Communist state of Illinois. Both times by State Police, not local.

I'll avoid the hassle at all costs.
LOL, I had a clear plate cover on my TT Roadster which was registered in Virginia and I got pulled over in DC and got a ticket. Apparently, they're an issue for the speed camera's. :)

Dealer just texted me saying this plate holder should be available soon (said I could order it this week).

Any updates on this? Is it an unpublished Kia OEM bracket, or did your dealer just source something aftermarket for you?

Im on the fence about installing the front license plate as well. I am a little disappointed Kia did not provide us with a mounting bracket.

Hmm... front plates aren’t required in our province... my dealer offered to let me keep the front bracket... I declined... are these in short supply?
