We get a lot of New Yorkers here too. Hard to pass up brand new <$300k 3k sqft houses when you're renting a 600 sqft windowless apartment for $5k a month.Joking aside. I see a lot....and i mean a lot of people moving here from east coast parades, aka NY.
There are good and bad parts to every place.I visited New York about 10 years ago. It was a total dump. Hard to imagine the sh...hole it is right now.
Obviously. But the ratio of those parts is very different in NY. And people running away from the place would agree with meThere are good and bad parts to every place.
I am sure a lot of it goes for complying to countless useless regulations.I wonder where all the money goes?
More likely lobbying to not comply and charge people more.I am sure a lot of it goes for complying to countless useless regulations.
Probably both. The whole point of regulation is to force the company to bribe the politiciansMore likely lobbying to not comply and charge people more.
Capitalism at its finest. Lol!Probably both. The whole point of regulation is to force the company to bribe the politicians
It's a socialism mixed with fascism. Capitalism has been dead in this country for looong time.Capitalism at its finest. Lol!
60% of all our generated power coming from fossil fuels with China (by far) holding most of worlds lithium reserves… Lol.While solar is an option to homeowners, those would a pretty good setup are now being chargers higher prices by the utility company in their state. While more houses with Solar and battery storage will lessen the impact on the grid, the utility company wants to be the only ones that supply energy but as we have seen, in some places their system isn’t robust to deal with the extra stress. They would rather shut it off, leave you with no recourse as they are also saying they don’t have enough money to upgrade their systems. I wonder where all the money goes?
Our whole country is becoming one big joke.60% of all our generated power coming from fossil fuels with China (by far) holding most of worlds lithium reserves… Lol.
Our power infrastructure is ancient as the hills and requires -massive- capital to upgrade for the “agenda” — What a cosmic freaking nightmarish joke.
Ignorance is bliss
The sad thing is that people are being distracted by people spouting nonsense but not paying attention to the things in front of them. The government allowed corporations to move jobs overseas, things that used to be made local are now being made elsewhere, then imported back at a much higher price than they cost to make. The CEOs and leaders of those companies make massive amount of money while they are fine with not taking care of their employees and we get angry at our neighbors/coworkers for taking our jobs, that are going to companies in their former home country, where the people there are paid even less than here. Don't want to derail this thread but there are so many things that need to change to make this country better but people aren't seeing it. Our government can provide billions of dollars in aid and weapons to fight a war, in another country but, say there isn't any money for services and programs to help people locally. Well, it's not only the government, but it is becoming the norm. A government for the corporations is what the US has become. Our whole country is becoming one big joke.

Young people that are forward thinking, from the government indoctrination centers? Really?? Even religion is being destroyed (not that i'm very religious, but still think it's very important ), so big brother can take it's place. But let's hope that i'm just crazy conspiracy theorist, and you are right!I think it can still change but we need new young blood, people that are forward thinking, and a lot of them, to get rid of the old fogeys. From top down. It will take some doing but it’s possible.
LOL! A lot of religious people are just followers, not really free thinkers, they are just being led around and question nothing if someone "in charge" tells them a thing is so. You want free thinkers that can see through the bull however, they are few and far and it's hard to changed the minds of people that aren't ready to have an open mind and listen to another point of view.Young people that are forward thinking, from the government indoctrination centers? Well, that was my point. You destroy the religion and take it's place to "guide". At least with religion, there're natural moral standarts, and something like, stealing is wrong and immoral. That was exactly what Soviets did 100 years ago. But since we haven't learned anything, we're just gonna repeat it.LOL! On the EV Topic, I'm over in Thailand and have seen a few EVs here and a couple were Teslas. Saw on the news they have built or are (no English translation) building a large floating solar farm. With the amount of motorcycles, I haven't seen any electric versions yet. They also have hybrids now. I know a lot of their cars have LNG or Compressed Gas conversion. There is a large tank in the trunk of taxi's, meaning some of your luggage ended up in the front seat.
