Build:
Yeah I got this installed last week. It was a bit more expensive for the cutting and welding then I expected as it took about 6 hours of labor (could've just been my shop as well). I'm not sure if this is because I have AWD and the spacing could be different, it originally didn't seem to fit, but they found a way - I couldn't be at the shop so I wasn't part of that discussion but I sent them pictures from this post for reference. Would also like to share that the low profile tips need to be cut as well as they are about twice the length than what is needed. I'm not sure if I was sent the same ones as the other pictures, but not a huge issue.

Sound:
Other than that I love 'em. It's a low sound and doesn't rattle. Sounds #$%^&*#& amazing in boost. It encourages staying at >2.5k RPMs because it sounds so good. Downshifting has never been so fun! Doesn't sound spectacular (not bad either) when idling or the very low end but you generally spend so little time there, specially if you already have these things open. There's lots of little pops/backpressure (think clearing your throat guttural noises as you might hear in something with ULH) if you're off throttle and in low-medium RPM range, I personally love it, but I could see it not appealing to everyone. Also you are able to play with and point of partially open or closed, which goes from an "old 4 banger standard exhaust leak" sound to a some more refined and quieter tones then when it's fully open. There's many intervals to play with and it's quite fun to experiment with.

It takes ~3 seconds to open and close fully and the instructions state to not press it longer than 10 seconds or they will get stuck and break. I find this perfectly reasonable, but it's something to note.

Fully open it's very loud when under throttle as expected and the first person to drive it at the shop just continued to say how loud it was. That said, the external wastegate and idle on my old heavily modified WRX was louder FWIW...

Being able to be stock quiet in 3 seconds is a godsend around cops and in your neighborhood!

Power:
I currently have the JB4 kit intake/plugs/tune as well as these cutouts (attempting full re-stock-ability if I need warranty repairs besides these cutouts). I plan to get it on a dyno at some point and do some open vs closed tests as it's tough to tell if I'm spooling at the same pace with it open. Also could take some logs with the JB4. It may be smoothing the power band and therefore seeming less aggressive or I'm just distracted because there's so much more going on now. But for now I'm just enjoying the weather ripping around.

I currently only have some really potato videos but may post them at some point anyway. I may get my Gopro out and get an outside view soon.

If you're a member of "Kia Stinger Owners Group" on FB, someone posted a video of electronically controlled valves just before the mufflers. He didn't make the vid shareable, unfortunately. Another option if you want something not as loud. Cost for him was $550 in parts from Jegs + $100 in labor.

These are welded to the downpipes and are not a replacement bolt on. The cut pipes in the picture need to be welded. The tips however are bought separately and bolted on.

Personally would not recommend this IMO. I have recently performed this mod myself on my Genesis G70 3.3T by welding these up to the front of my ARK secondary downpipes with stock mids/axleback. It is loud but I do not think it sounds good, kinda like a riced out Honda when you get on it to me. Just may be my taste is different though. Drone is bad at 2k+ but that was to be expected. Granted I know this may sound different on a Stinger with stock secondary downpipes but I’d imagine that it’s not a whole lot different. The whole cabin shakes under acceleration and my heads up display shakes too. The valves do not always reliably close and I have to open and close several times to get them to seal completely sometimes. Performance wise I feel that I’ve noticed more wheelspin and faster spooling on JB4 map 3 e30. My next plan is to install these farther downstream near the end of the Arks and placing resonators before them which will hopefully clean up the sound. But to each their own and I am glad others are enjoying this setup!

Got some base runs in pre dump valves via dragy. I will follow up post installation. I found my welder today close to home. Should have some results soon.
Also got my first ticket in years, 3 days in on the dragy.

Ok so I did the same thing as the guy in post. To be completely honest it's loud but it sounds like an impala with an exhaust leak. It does not sound good in my opinion.

Necro, I'm in the Indianapolis area trying to find a shop willing to do this for me. Every quote I get they are saying it's going to be 800+ for labor alone and they keep trying to talk me into the overpriced QTP cutouts that also cost 800 for a set...

I could get any one of the most expensive full exhaust kits for the 2k they are quoting.

Hey question, did you have to permanently remove the skid plate/ splash guard under the engine in order to run these? I would imagine if you keep it in it would melt right?
