Eibach sway bars soft and hard settings

I’m running both F&R on soft setting + Whiteline HD end links & it has no effect on the ride quality at all, my standard default suspension setting is on Comfort for day to day driving & it rides as OE.
When you want spirited driving by switching into Sport & this thing literally runs on rails & loves aggressive cornering.
I agree with most comments the difference between OE & Eibach Sway Bars is night & day, this was my only criticism since day one that Kia should have had these type of sway bars on the car from the beginning.

Not sure what brochure you're talking about but I checked and it's mentioned in every Canadian and American brochure....got a link to the one you're not seeing it in?
My 2018 brochure has the exact same cover as the 2020 brochure that @KiaofMuncie posted up. The 2018 brochure does not have "2018" above "Stinger" however. On the back it says: Part #: UE180 PM001

Most of the brochures mention it in an unexpected place, its not on the page that references the drivetrain and engine, it's further into the brochure.

Ah, I get it. I think I didn't even read the entire brochure; just picked one up when I bought the Stinger. The part I have referred to numerous times is the listing of items for each of the trims. That's what I have been quoting from.

I've had both the 2018 and now the 2019, I complained about the rear hop on the 2018 and got a sway bar, after I wrecked it, in anticipation that the 2019 would need it and they were in stock. Got the car and realized I had to go at higher speeds to get that to occur and it wasn't as bad as on the 2018. Lowering mine was something I wanted to do but I would like a slightly firmer ride, similar to the G70. I was elated when I heard about the Mando ECS unit and jumped on board. I find this to do the job for me, I can change up the ride and handling with the app.

Coupled with sway bars on the 2018, the Mando ECS unit will do some wonders and I suspect adding sways to the 2019 would probably do the same. For me though, I haven't found the need for the sway bar on the 2019 at this point. Others might want it and I might give it a try next year, who knows.
I got the hop once when I was merging onto a highway at 65-70MPH, passing on the left and turning at the same time. It didn't scare me until after I realized what had happened. Either I got super lucky or I'm a gifted driver for not crashing it.

The "hop" (twitch, step-out) is annoying, not dangerous. I've experienced "it" a number of times, even with the Eibach rear sway bar. It is always the road irregularities that causes it; it isn't the car's "fault". And you don't lose gription, because the rear on this car is planted; especially the AWD.

Oh, okay! That makes me feel a bit better. Thanks for the explanation!

Actually I have lost traction from the rear end twitch where the car killed the power and the traction control light came on.

That sounds more like a bounce, than a hop. LOL. That reminds me of how the 2012 Optima hybrid behaved with the crappy OEM balloons on it. Made "spirited" driving a chore, until I swapped on some new Pirelli's.

That too is possible: but just underscores my claim that this "trait" is not dangerous. Annoying, certainly.

But each car needs to be driven as "it is what it is", and handle the handling accordingly. This is why a superior driver like Randy Pobst can return from lapping a circuit, without brake fade, and praising the Stinger as a good handling car; he figured out quickly how to get the most out of it: and that was a lot, it turns out. Time to share this again (how many of us expect the Stinger to behave like a track car when pushing 10/10ths?o_O):

Just had Eibach front and rear sways (installed on soft), Whiteline endlinks, ATQ subframe collars, and Ark GT-F springs installed on my GT2. Definite night and day difference... I feel way more confident putting the car's power to the ground now.

They drive amazingly with these upgrades & IMHO makes this car the complete package as a GT.

This continues to interest me: quite a few times we have this contrast of opinions on the stock/factory suspension: we find it great as-is. And others find it "terrible!" Makes me wonder if our individual vehicles are set up the same or not? I think it's possible that the suspension tuning varies from the factory.
I think it's just a difference in opinion or that people haven't experienced the rear hop yet lol. I think the hop is due to the OEM rear sway being bolted to the car in the middle preventing the sway from doing what it's supposed to do.

Snow tires ... do not lower it! ... I reside in the snow/melt/refreeze/snow on top of ice region of Merica. Super hairy and dangerous to drive.

Can you elaborate here? If the snow tires have the same outside diameter as OEM tires, why would lowering the car be worse in winter? Simple ground clearance issues from snowdrifts? Or something else related to handling?

Lowering an already low car in places that can get mired inches deep in snow is just not helpful for all the normal reasons. If you are going to lower a Stinger an inch or more, and you live in "snow country", then have another ride for really snowy days. Let's face it: there WILL come those (hopefully rare) storms when really nothing else but an off-road type clearance is going to work. But why increase the times when driving a Stinger in winter is a bad proposition? (why lower, in other words)

Makes sense! Thanks.

I don't think you'll find record of any Stinger owner regretting that they installed the Eibach bars. I'm running the rear bar only on soft and it was a night and day difference to handling with almost no adverse affect on ride firmness. I've decided to eventually install the front bar because I love the rear one so much.
I wish I had a definite answer. My Eibach springs AND anti-roll bars are getting installed right now (front & rear) and the dealer is asking me if I want Hard or Soft setting for each one. In reading, I found only 1 person saying set the front to Soft and rear to Hard but I suppose I'll have to try for myself on the road and also for lapping days at the Calabogie track... Fun times! (2022 Scorpion)

Really gonna come down to how much track to daily driving you do. And its not hard to change it if its not to your liking. Everyone drives differently so nobody can tell you whats best for your style of driving

Revive! Anyone have comments on soft vs hard setting now?
