• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Dash Cam Owners Australia

The card size doesn't really matter as it will record over itself once full, but "lock" or save clips that you tell it to (or automatically in a collision with most models)..

I wanted to say, I do love listening to the comments on the AUS cam videos.. :D

Some of these are unbelievable. Love the guy who comes out the ute in shorts and steel toes lol

To me it was but to a lot of people every time a bloke comes off a bike, people blame the car driver. This bloke just ran straight up the arse of the car.

Not sure that stop required much from the brembos, but the stinger driver was following at a nice safe distance. :)

Perth Motorbike Rider has close call with Truck.

Oh my lord, I held my breath watching that ! Iv'e only just found this thread, been here a while watching the dash cam vids you posted.A couple are funny, like the failed parking one but it shows how many idiots on on the roads. I am definitely interested in getting a dash cam when I get my Stinger.

Best idea ever, buy a dashcam, and Yes for your Stinger, or even for any other car, three years ago i got my first dashcam, quite a cheap one, but a year or so later i bought a Navman Dashcam , so now in my Commodore, i have the cheaper one filming the rear, and i have the good Navman, filming the front, i only have the cheap one filming the back because it still works fine, a shame to throw it aside unused in a drawer, but it has already helped me with tailgaters, especially one incident of tailgating over two years ago.

Do you advise getting one that records while your vehicle is parked ? like for the tossers that do hit and runs

Speaking from experience and research, all the different brands of dashcams that i know of, usually all have the Parking Mode feature, the only thing is , you have to plug the power adaptor included with the dashcam into the power socket, which powers the dashcam while your driving, but when you park your car, then turn it off, the power to the dashcam is turned off also, i have seen in JB HiFI a hardwire kit for Navman dashcams, so your dashcam is powered even while your car is off and parked, but not sure if you need an Auto Electrician to do it, some people can do it themselves, or maybe a forum member here knows how to DIY, anyway that's it, 100% worth purchasing a dashcam, once you have it for a while, you will forever have a dashcam in whichever cars you own in the future, i just bought a Navman 740 for my 19yo daughter for Christmas. Goodluck.

BlackVue Dashcams have a power pack it’s called the Power Magic Pro that runs the cameras when parked without draining the cars battery.
I have an older BlackVue no for over 6 years with no issues, they are nice & compact, so put this brand on your research list for consideration.

Not really an in the wild sighting for me, although it was for someone I guess. Queensland Police Stinger spotted on the latest edition of Dash Cam Owners Australia. Skip to 16:05 to see the clip with the Stinger and laugh as his mate in the SS Commodore takes off to pinch the red light runner, or just sit back and enjoy the stupidity of the Australian motoring public. It’s no wonder the road toll and motor vehicle insurance are both high when you see some of the stupid things people do.
