Speaking from experience and research, all the different brands of dashcams that i know of, usually all have the Parking Mode feature, the only thing is , you have to plug the power adaptor included with the
dashcam into the power socket, which powers the
dashcam while your driving, but when you park your car, then turn it off, the power to the
dashcam is turned off also, i have seen in JB HiFI a hardwire kit for Navman dashcams, so your
dashcam is powered even while your car is off and parked, but not sure if you need an Auto Electrician to do it, some people can do it themselves, or maybe a forum member here knows how to DIY, anyway that's it, 100% worth purchasing a
dashcam, once you have it for a while, you will forever have a
dashcam in whichever cars you own in the future, i just bought a Navman 740 for my 19yo daughter for Christmas. Goodluck.
