Buying a piggyback... what one?

Has anyone tracked their car with the Lap3 on 93 octane, with minimal mods? No DPs, or aftermarket exhaust, or intercooler?

C'mon fella, please at least give me props for figuring out how to get free shit for my car, dude.

1. I didn't say you don't like Terry.
2. I said you're the most biased non-vendor on this forum specifically because of the points you tried to make in your dissertation. Good job.
3. If you're going to bludgeon me with a wall text at least address the reasons I called you an ultra biased tweenage dress wearer. I have no interest in your attempted martyrdom or self-admiration.

So you edit my “quote”. Yeah your the mature one.

Very company has this practice, they either give you a product in exchange for your time and for loaning them the vehicle office you a discount. Asking for something for free once it’s made it what “show” cars and “team” cars do. I know guys like this and they are annoying as hell.

Let’s have fun. What’s are the point again you would like me to address. Let see if you can have an adult conversation, or your just gonna show yourself as a keyboard warrior.

Just fyi he isn't the only person doing this. Multiple people do it and it is necessary for product development.

Also, just because they get something for free doesn't mean they always come out on top. They have to spend their own time and money on certain things as well. They are risking their vehicles in some cases where they could get a bad product and we all benefit from it.

I'm kinda done with this, man. Refer to point 3 sentence 2.

So I’m back..... since you seem to think I’m just here to hate on terry. Lets ask him to look see if he Remembers the name of the guy who did some research and realized Terry had a product that could be easily used on the stinger.

Hey Jose I've got no problem at all with you or what you're doing. I like that you're always willing to test out parts which helps the community.

My initial post here was simply a rebuttal to your and others claims that the Lap3 is a "more advanced" tuning system. When I can see that simply isn't the case. And I articulated a few reasons based on my initial observations of their install guide. I could come up with a list of 15 differences if I wanted but the point was not to talk trash simply to debunk a few things.

I dislike that you've thrown us under the bus so you can promote Lap3 but no tears. All is fair in love, war, and tuner battles. :)

Race gas would definitely solve the issue for the stock turbos, but I don't plan to run race gas on a daily at $10/gallon. I'm in Cali too so 91 is all I have readily available (and e85 but that wouldn't help the problem), so I think maxing the stock turbos on 91 will be the limit for me.

Of course if you talk to me again in two years I'll probably be running race gas AND WMI with two EFR 6258's under the hood and god knows what else it takes to accomplish that

Fortunately E30 and 17psi get along which gets you in to the 430-460whp range depending on modification. For 500whp levels race gas or WMI probably will be required. Or fuel system modifications yet to be developed.

I wanna see the results of the race?!?!?! Cmon already!

lol well Eli in the JB4 car posted his times on one of the FaceBook groups. I asked him to post them here too. Don't see the lap3-pro car times posted yet and don't know yet if they got any actual side by side races in. Hopefully so!

Anyway 12.3@117mph on map5 is good. I know that car has an 11 in it with a good launch, and more trap speed with race gas instead of E85 to push boost higher. :)

Why is his 60' so bad? That's worse than a lot of stock cars. You said you're limiting boost by gear, are you limiting it too much?

Could be bad prep on the track, not using boost by gear, etc. 117mph is fast - hopefully he can try out a customized map 6 or map 7 and get even faster. Launching is one of the biggest pain points I've seen with this car so far.

Bad prep, lot's of spinning. He had to go -6psi in 1st which is less boost than stock, to get those times lol. His lap3-pro counterpart was an AWD car so probably fared much better in the traction department.

117 is fast and should be easily 11s. There are a number of reasons his 60' could be so bad, maybe you're right and the track prep was horrible, maybe he kept driving through the burnout box, maybe he wasn't using launch control, maybe he was on all season tires, or maybe the JB4 is limiting boost too much on a launch.

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe our stock rear tires are just a little too narrow. Has anyone looked into getting some wider rubber?

Not sure if he has a posi or not but our development GT is a peg-leg which doesn't help. Car needs drag radials for sure. But for now just leaving it stock so we can focus on improving traction via software trickery as much as possible.

Next year I'm thinking of lighter 9.5-10" wheels with 275 or 285 width.
