Brake pad deciphering

Can't see those images, too compressed and blurry.
Are those images from centric? I couldn't even select the g70 as an option their site.

Looks at this Lexus ISF Rear Pad....
very close in measurements!
I’ll order up a set of cheapies to see if it fits. Looks promising, and the ISF has huge aftermarket support.

That's off by quite a bit, I would not recommend driving on them if there is any play inside the caliper if you test fit some. Do let us know if they are a good fit though, I'll try to find some with the size you mention earlier and test fit.

I resized the images in that post so you can see a bit better.
Those images are from Centric, but they were not found through a Stinger/G70 parts search.
I did a bit of cross referencing actual pad/rotor dimensions to find these pads that possibly fit.

Yeah, I’m still getting closer. Still not done searching.
Though I have found, that even the aftermarket offerings for a particular set of compatible vehicles can vary by a few mm here and there.
That being said, extreme caution will be used during the initial test fit. If the pad is wrong, it will be immediately obvious.

I noticed, I thought they were the stinger/g70 specs. I'll try an do some research on brembos 2 piston calipers to see how many variants there are and try to narrow down to the one used on the stinger; there is no mention of the pads or the caliper anywhere on brembo parts site.

The ISF pads may actually be a direct replacement. When the shim is removed, it's pretty much identical size. Check out these out...

Yes, I’m pretty sure these will fit just fine.
I am holding off just a bit on test fitting a set because these are just a couple mm shy of covering the whole rotor surface edge to edge (height wise). I’d rather cover the whole surface as not to have a rust lip in the center the pad isn’t touching.

I’m still searching for a pad just a smidge taller.
I’ve only found a Mercedes C350 front pad which is too tall. Still checking different pads though.

As of right now, the ISF is the closest I’ve found for the rear.

If anything they may actually cover more surface area from what I read; the rear rotor of the ISF is bigger than ours. I'm going to order ISF rears and keep my fingers crossed lol. My rotors are completely shot, slowing down with any brake pressure from 60km/h and higher causes severe vibration in the whole car; practically coasting to stops most of my commute for the past couple of months .

Heh, that's how I "brake" normally at all times: only get on the pedal near the end to completely stop the car.

Agreed - I use the brakes a lot less in this car than my previous car, just due to the way it engine brakes in sport mode..

Due to pulsing rotors too? I can't even get on it at the end because of how shitty mine have gotten lol, feels like a slow abs tugging

No pulsating on original OE brakes at over 27K miles. That's just how I have trained myself to baby my brakes.

Update: ISF rears are exact match for our rear pads in dimensions, only problem is the retaining pin placement is different. The ISF caliper has its pins further away from each other by about a total of 6-8mm.

Our rear calipers look alot like the Evo caliper, has anyone ever measured the width, height, and thickness of the rear pads? The if the dimensions 86.6 x 63.5 x 14.1(14.1 or thicker), we can use the Evo rears too, not just the fronts.

Oh and for anyone in doubt of whether brembo made these from scratch or Kia just stuck on an already developed brembo; yes these are used on many other cars. Research, development, and testing costs too many millions for brembo and Kia to justify making a unique caliper for the stinger given the return on investment, simple business rules. How many stingers did they anticipate selling? Probably not many given it is a Kia and costs way more than majority of Kia's customer base would spend on, or will ever even seek out in, a car (point a to point b economic car).

Sorry for the mini rant but read several posts pointing to the same question/doubt with no clear explanation as to why it's not a new design caliper lol. All that being said, we need to just dig deeper into which other car has used the 2 piston brembo. As far as I can tell, it looks like a slightly updated revision of the Evo rear, just looks like they changed the overall external shape to save on materials or alter cooling properties or something of that nature.

For the rear weve tried EVO, Subaru, Porsche, Mustang, and Camaro
So far the stinger rear pads seem to be unique to the stinger

Is anybody going to offer these, what is your thoughts?

Somebody better lol; $360+taxes ($270 usd) for the shit OEM rears, steep for a non performance pad. The stoptech 309s cost me $117cad for the front and $90cad for the rear isf pad which is identical in size.
