Brake bleeding

Has anyone successfully used the two man method to bleed the brakes on their Stinger with Brembos? I've searched around but didn't find anything definitive.
 
There's no particular reason it wouldn't work. Standard complications with a modern ABS system, but that's been the same for every car in the past .... 25 years?
 
I bled mine using one man method. Worked fine. I belive, with brembo, you suppose to start with front passenger side, than move to front driver, rear driver, and rear passenger last.

I replaced all the fluid via the two man method. Had my son pumping the brakes while I collected the fluid with a hose and bottle at each caliper. Obviously stopping every so often to check and add fluid to the reservoir. so for bleeding, is it the same method? Also, I started at the furthest point from the reservoir and worked my way back. put almost two full bottles of Motul RBF 660 in. Oh, of course I didn't heed the warnings about how corrosive the fluid is and probably let a drip or two get away. Put the wheels back on, took her for a spin, in the rain, next morning I had wrecked the paint inside the barrel my rear wheels. not the whole barrel but left a couple pretty big spots. That lead to a full blown, wheels off, panic wash the next day. made sure everything was spotless, then put the wheels back on and washed the whole car. Live and learn.
 
BTW, brake fluid is super corrosive to paint and powder coat. However, water quickly neutralizes it. So keep the hose handy and just hose down everything when you're done. I use a pressure bleeder and have had fountains of brake fluid spraying all over the place. Just hose it down and move on.

Like Ohio said, the manual has an unusual sequence for the brembo setup. But I live dangerously - I don't think the sequences are all *that* important.

Yes, bleeding is the same method as fluid replacement.

Still a big fan of the motive power bleeder product. One man device, less chance of damaging the master.
I've had too much trouble with their caps blowing off or leaking. Finally committed to buying the fancy name brand aluminum set and they are downright dreamy.
 
^^The universal caps are junk, but the ones that fit properly have worked well. Bleeding the brakes on the G was completely uneventful, if not for the fact there were 8 bleeders to do (2/wheel).

The proper sequence for bleeding or flushing the brake system is to start with the caliper furthest away.

Therefore, bleed or flush in this order:

Rear passenger
Rear driver
Front passenger
Front driver

I'm not disputing you since I haven't checked.

However, if the master cylinder and reservoir are on the driver side, then what I posted earlier is correct for most other cars. A Google search will bear that out.

Maybe you should. Because this is exactly how kia wants you to bleed brembos on stinger. Idk why, since on every single car i bled the brakes before, i started with rear passenger. Somehow stinger is different.

Oh well, I did it the old fashioned way. Seems fine to me.

Just to close this loop if anyone is wondering. I swapped pads and bled all 4 calipers with a Mighty Vac. One man operation. The car stops on a dime now. I used the recommended sequence Kia uses, not the traditional "farthest away first) and bled the inner, then outer bleed screws. I did all 8, then went back through again a second time. I got most of the old stuff out, you could tell by the slight darker color of used brake fluid. I used Amsoils Brake fluid 100% synthetic Dot 3&4

I have no clue how. Any particular steps you went by?

Which cap actually fit?
 
this worked great for me, no one else needed to do the bleeding. I also did the abs module bleeding using my diagnostic tool. followed the brembo FR, FL, RL, RR order in the illustration above.
