01300754-57E6-4813-AC8E-1017F5CEBE40.webp Well everyone I have finally figured it out and as promised I will tell you where to hook into so you can run a manual boost gauge for those of us who didn’t have the extra 15k to spend on a sunroof, digital boost gauge and moving headlights lol here ya go !!! Enjoy it’s the one from your charge pipe to that little solenoid on top right between that hose !!!

An app and the OBD2 port can give you a boost gauge and much more. Just sayin'...

Guess I'm just to old school lol ill just keep things to myself unless it involves an app or siri's help or maybe even a flash drive. But there has to be 2 or 3 people on here that are old school and enjoy old tech meeting new tech so I'm happy if I helped them. What would we all do without an app or siri or the google lady alexa I think that's he name doing things and thinking for us I do not know ....

By no means keep it to yourself! I've run more than one boost gauge manually, through the firewall with a grommet, etc. But newer cars can utilize wireless and bluetooth LE OBD2 port readers with an app and you can run multiple gauges realtime. Some folks even install tablets in their dash to do it. I'm just not that mechanically inclined and thought it a Godsend when this tech came along! LOL

I was a bit short of time yesterday. Sorry if this came off as being a jerk. I definitely appreciate the knowledge and ability to do what you did! Where'd you put the gauge?

No problem kazz, I don’t post very often and I did feel like maybe this isn’t the place for me last night. I thought to myself am I that old that people don’t like the accuracy of a gauge and needle anymore is that what the world has come to. But anyways thanks for straitening that out with me and I think where I mounted it is the best most natural looking spot in the car and also easiest for me to glance at at high speeds.

Looks like a logical place. Where'd you thread the line through on the firewall and how tough was it?

Pain in the ass actually the ONLY spot was to feed the line threw with one of the wiring harnesses they left us no empty plugs/holes like most cars modern or old lol

I was afraid of that! Nice job!

Thanks I think finding the right hose to tap into was the harder part I had no guidance at all had to go on previous knowledge and trial and error no one has installed a manual boost gauge that I know of yet on there stinger. I bet this post will become very helpful to a lot of people later in the year lol.

If you're running a piggyback tune that's tricking the ECU I don't think an app and obd2 BT will show exactly what you're getting for boost. I will put this theory to test as I'm installing a boost gauge today and also torque app and BT adapter later on.
