BMS Pedal Tuner - Review

What are your impressions running the Jb4 in combination with the pedal mod?

It feels the way you think it should feel throttle response much more on tap. Sometimes when I'd have to do panic accelerations pulling out you almost think something's wrong with the car because it takes so long for it to respond. It gives you the feeling that you have a lot more horsepower than you did before. Honestly it feels like it does more than just change the percentage of throttle input it feels like it actually changes a lot more than that with acceleration.

What setting do you like?

I'm the type that'll just go straight to the most aggressive and leave it there there's no reason to have it anything less than. Maybe the only reason is if somebody else was driving my car it's a bit touchy in certain circumstances but you get used to it. What I want to know is I have anti-skid anti stability turned off and it still does the same thing when you lose traction it cuts the motor out what the f*** what's the point of turning it off if it still does the same damn thing

I have not had that problem. Actually got myself in trouble sideways a few times. The setting I am looking for on the petal timer is direct throttle to throttle body action.

How are you enjoying the jb4, and what map is your favourite?

Just have intakes, and running 30% E85 on map 2. Full exhaust goes in Tuesday. Can't hardly wait

This is exactly what I'd prefer too, removal of the drive by wire delay versus remapping the actual pedal input.

I beleive the tuner can act very close to that. The question is what setting will have a direct relationship with petal and throttle body.

I would say it be instantaneous you push your pedal down it goes immediately. That would most likely be the highest setting hair trigger immediate... So I have a 850 horsepower procharged El Camino small block Chevy. my problem with it is the spring on the throttle is much too heavy so I have to push hard. It gives me the feeling of less horsepower because of how hard I have to press the throttle down to get the God damn thing to go. The input relationship to the foot and brain are disconnected. I had a 69 Pontiac GTO as a teenager P(bought it brand new before I was born) which had a very light throttle spring barely touch it and I would be spinning the wheels down the street no supercharger.. just a stock 400 Pontiac motor. that felt like it has twice the horsepower as this 850 horsepower motor I have now all because of the stupid throttle pressure of how hard I have to push... so probably really comes down to personal preference. But I guarantee if BMS made this pedal with only one setting the highest setting no one would ever complain. I just don't see the point of the lower settings they're just more delayed, what would be the point of delaying pushing your foot down on a pedal in the car going? If sensitivity is your issue then you get used to it within a short time of driving the car.

Can't you get a smaller/weaker spring in your El Camino??

Yeah I suppose I need to look into a specific weighted spring because they are specific links for the kickdown for the TVS cable on transmission. I've talked to the mechanic before and they said don't mess with it. But I'm going to discuss it with him again

No plans for that.

On the JB4 you'd want the JB4, fuel wires, and data cable or JB4 mobile depending on how you want to connect for updates.

Looks interesting.

What would the total price be have it packaged and shipped to sweden?
And is there a posibility to mark down the item price on the package? (Because in sweden the items total price goes up between 30-50% importing outside europe)

I don't know. For sales related questions sales@burgertuning.com is the email to ask.

Just installed my pedal tuner. I followed the directions on the back of the box and could not calibrate. Pulled up our wonderful forum and saw the calibration video. Push mode button to save. I do like it much more response throttle the way I think it should be. I ended with orange setting in the middle (no + or - light). Tested settings in sport mode then reverted to comfort and for me feels perfect in both modes. I did get a dash light on my first drive then after stopping and restarting the car it went away. Anyone have an Idea why this happened and will it come back. Other than that fine product from BMS. As long as the dash light stays off I definitely reccomend If you want a better throttle response. Many settings, a setting for everyone.

I did too I think I didn't connect it properly and run through the calibration set up the way it was supposed to be I missed something. I took it out reinstalled it again and went back over everything and then no problem. you may want to go get that deleted out of your car cuz that will show up if you ever take it to the dealer and they will wonder why you had a loss of power to your throttle.

If the ECU is awake when you unplug the gas pedal or if you operate the car without it calibrated can trigger a one time light. No big deal. :)

Ok sweet must have been when not calibrated properly. I second guessed this purchase several times but in the end very happy.
