Wow!!!! That color option isn’t even online. What dealer? I’m in Austin, and would love to see your new babyView attachment 25266 View attachment 25267 View attachment 25268
Yep! Picking her up now. Panthera Metal GT2 with light interior. I thought only black and red interiors were available. My wife and I liked the light interior on the blue 2018’s. I told him I wish I could get the light interior still and was surprised when he said they had one in the exact color combo I wanted.
Kia South Austin. Dealt directly with the sales manager the whole time. When I first called them, I asked to speak with the sales manager, no sales guy involvement. He had been texting me the buyer's order and online numbers directly from his screen. Pretty easy dealing with them. The worst part was going through the finance guy and them trying to guilt or push me into buying all the extra protection crap. I told him,"dude you're supposed to tell me I bought a nice car...not that it's going to break tomorrow and you need $1600 in this or that protection to fix it." I'll shoot you a PM.
Yeah it was Derek. With it being the 1st week of the month, they may be holding out for a bit. The end of June may be good with it being the end of the month and end of the quarter for them.Okay, thanks! Was it Derek you spoke with? He acknowledge that the deal did happen, but instead only offered me a GT1 for the exact same price. Back to the drawing board.

My approach was bug the crap out of them instead
be respectful, contact a few dealerships. Be stern with your requirements in the deal but don't be a pest.
you will learn quickly which dealers want to play.
not all vin's are created equally. some have trunk cash, allowing certain cars to have better deals.
Oh yes, definitely be respectful but firm. I bugged them but was definitely considerate.be respectful, contact a few dealerships. Be stern with your requirements in the deal but don't be a pest.

Forgive my ignorance but what is trunk cash and how is it unearthed?
Trunk cash is hidden money that is nowhere other than on some excel spreadsheet deep within the dealership. It's another level of rebate from the manufacturer to dealer.
Trunk cash is one of the reasons why my vehicle, 2018 GT2 AWD was $36.5K OTD. It's known as a unicorn. There are generally only a half dozen VIN's with trunk cash. So you either get super lucky, or you get super lucky.
Is this different than a dealer hold back?Trunk cash is hidden money that is nowhere other than on some excel spreadsheet deep within the dealership. It's another level of rebate from the manufacturer to dealer.
