Does anyone agree that the reverse camera is not great at nighttime? I find the lighting pretty bad .....no problem during the day.
Agree, but since the software/map update to V13 you can now set the camera contrast & brightness in the settings. I set night to Max. +5 seems to have improved night time vision.Does anyone agree that the reverse camera is not great at nighttime? I find the lighting pretty bad .....no problem during the day.
It could be better, but as @Stinger GT SS said at least now you can adjust contrast and brightness. What’s worse is the side cameras. Absolutely useless in the dark all it needs is an LED that came on when the camera was activated. Probably wouldn’t help for reversing as it looks further away from where the light would be while showing the rear wheel but for parking nose in/parallel it would be fine for the front view just to aid in avoiding gutters. They’ve already got the light under the mirror that comes on when you approach the car if it’s locked. Just need to update the code so if headlights are on and camera is activated side lights come on. Could have both or could have it activate when the camera is selected. Really wouldn’t be that hard for them to do.Does anyone agree that the reverse camera is not great at nighttime? I find the lighting pretty bad .....no problem during the day.
Also, I find the lights under the mirrors (and the lights inside the door handles) turn off too quickly when you approach the locked vehicle. They only seem to stay on for 15 seconds when 1 or 2 minutes would be much more useful. They’ve already got the light under the mirror that comes on when you approach the car if it’s locked. Maybe that’s something you can adjust in the settings. I’ve never had the inclination to try. Also, I find the lights under the mirrors (and the lights inside the door handles) turn off too quickly when you approach the locked vehicle. I did look but couldn't find any settings for those lights.Maybe that’s something you can adjust in the settings. I’ve never had the inclination to try.
I had a similar issue but only when the car shifted from 3rd to 2nd. They replaced my entire transmission due to this fault. Can somebody give me some guidance .My 6 month old Stinger GT kicks back through the trans as I am slowing down at the traffic lights. It is quite severe until the motor reaches normal temperature. I have had the car at the dealer who has checked the trans operation on their computer and advises that all is normal. It does it in all drive modes and is becoming a pain. This problem has only started recently. I have checked the operating manual to see if there is something in the drive mode settings but can not find anything. I have asked the dealer service dept about the settings, but with no luck.
Surely they could do a computer upgrade while you wait. Wouldn’t take that long. I suppose worst case scenario is a new transmission like FitR6. At least it wouldn’t cost you anything with the warranty. Just your time and patience.Starman
The dealers techy went for a run with me a couple of months ago but surprise/surprise it did not play up.
My auto trans guy tells me that the computer needs an update or upgrade. The computer sets the drive mode to suit your style of driving. For some reason my computer thinks that I am driving the car hard. At 75 years old ,if I want to drive a car hard,I will get my ZA fairlane out and give it a hiding to get my thrills. I am dropping the car off at the dealers tonight so they can drive it in the morning from a cold start, which is when it is at its worst.
I will post a comment when I find out what the fix is.

There's a lot of chatter on here about similar issues from North America being resolved by a "transmission reset". I guess that's a first option otherwise a replacement?Surely they could do a computer upgrade while you wait. Wouldn’t take that long. I suppose worst case scenario is a new transmission like FitR6. I wonder how that is doneThere's a lot of chatter on here about similar issues from North America being resolved by a "transmission reset". I guess that's a first option otherwise a replacement?
Just remind them of the Ford power shift fiasco. They said that was normal too and Ford ended up paying 10 million in fines for the privilege.I have never noticed any unusual characteristics of my transmission and it’s now done 12000kms.The car is with the dealer. I have commented about a computer reset. Before driving it,they are suggesting that this is normal. I hope that they are not trying to fob me off. If they say that this is normal,I will ask for a drive in one or two of their new or demos to see if they are the same as mine.
I dont believe that I am either imagining this or over-reacting.
I pick the car up this arvo and will post their reply.
Thanks for the feedback.

I can't recall exactly but it would have been around 25,000-30,000km.I was wondering, and maybe other owners would be interested in knowing at what kilometers did you both experience this problem
