Any way to get rid of BEEP with remote start?

I just looked in the owners manual. It looks like it is in the Engine Compartment fuse panel. It should be the "B/ALARM HORN" which is the Burglar Alarm Horn Relay.

I am going to remove it and try my remote start and report back.
Thank you.

Please check if still flashing hazard lights when the car is remote started or not.

Okay. Can confirm removing the relay does stop the horn honk at the end of the 10-minute remote start timer.

Flashing hazard lights still work the same.

Flashing hazard lights also flash on and off as normal when you press the horn button on the FOB. The horn does not function when pressing the button on the FOB.

Pressing the horn button in center of steering wheel works as normal.

No warnings or messages on cluster inside of the car either.

On my car the relay was colored green and is at the back of the fuse panel next to a couple of amber/beige relays. You will likely need a pair of pliers to remove it as it is seated very tightly.

This is excellent. The horn/panic button is useless anyway; people always ignore this when it goes off on a car.

I can not even get in my car until I turn it off....then the long honk and it will unlock. This makes me very irritated as well. I don't have remote start, that's what they should have said!

You should be able to. Press the remote start button twice and it will unlock the drivers door. The standard lock/unlock buttons won't function when the remote start is running.

This is not actually effective as the horn beeps when you turn it off with the remote start or when it times itself out. (you can't get into the car until it turns off)
You can get into the car with it still running. Push the remote starter button twice to unlock the drivers door. The regular lock and unlock buttons will not work when it has been remotely started.

OK - then there seems to be at least one obvious solution to not having it beep. Might save some fuel as well ...
Hahahahaha! What an idiot. What an idiotic thing to say. How do I put out a fire? This guy: don’t start fire! Stupid emoji wink !..., Fart ....pee ...cry. Btw, the horn also honks when you turn off the remote start , ya know, when you try and enter the car.

Then don't turn the car off to get in. Use the remote start button to unlock the drivers door whole its still running......

Mine only does it when the 15 min runs out or I turn it off. Neighbors are gonna get pissed.
Does it only do it at the end of the timer cycle, when the car is shutting off?
Eyes it

I don't have the key fob remote start, but I do use the UVO remote start and the horn has never gone off. Is this horn beeping from the key fob only? Or something Kia added to UVO (in Canada?) And does it affect other vehicles too? My missus is about to pull the trigger on a Seltos so I'm just wondering if it's something that would be avoided by simply using the UVO app.

Reading the thread it seems to only happen when the vehicle times out?

Happens on all models with the key fob start as far as I know. It does it on my Seltos as well, and you can avoid it by using the UVO app, but the Seltos is only compatible with the app if you get the model with the 10" screen, not the standard 8.

We don't have the UVO remote start capability in the states. At least I don't on my 2020.

Re only being available with the 8" screen vehicles, does that apply to Canada as well? I thought it was available on all Canadian models.

I don’t understand the reason for this, does KIA think it’s important to let you and your neighbors know your car shut off?
I just bought a 2021 Kia Stinger and was completely annoyed by the LOUD beep after 10 mins of running. I like to run my car for at least 20 mins. Its not an issue of getting the motor hot it's just I can't stand getting into a Cold/Hot car. I would have went to Long Radio and had one installed and take the KIA crap out. These environmentalists put a 10 minute cap on running the car. Ill run my car as long as I want to run it. CLIMATE CHANGE WHACKOS! Tell that to TEXANS!

Yes - mine does this, too and I'm also not making neighborhood friends. The horn beeps when the car turns off. Does anyone know how to disable this?

I guess you skipped over the previous posts...

I have 2022-- No horn honk and lights only flash when the car starts (just like when you lock it) -- and the engine does not shut off when you get in the car. The only thing that bothers me is that if it's warm (over 60F) and the car sits in the sun, it will have turned on the AC itself. This is just with using the key fob. I previously had a 2019 and the "remote start" is one of the most improved features.

Just to clarify, so your horn doesn't go off when remote start cycle is done? But your parking lights flash when you lock/unlock the car?

No-- no horn! No lights other than the initial "flash". Get in, buckle-up and drive . . .

Yeah the 2022's don't sound the horn at all when using remote start either at the start or at the end, either from the fob, or from UVO/Kia Access. They just flash the side markers a couple of times at the beginning.

Damn, almost makes me wanna trade in my car on a 2022 just for that alone.
