Any way to get rid of BEEP with remote start?

I agree. We just got one in December and had remote start put on in January. The beep early in the morning makes us crazy (as I'm sure it does our neighbors as well). I hope someone has an answer.

I agree. I have a 2019 Forte and also beeps. So annoying in a condo complex. I'm thinking of getting an aftermarket remote starter installed instead. And 10 minute warm up time? That's ridiculous. Really disappointed. KIA dropped ball on this one.

I almost didn't get it because of that. They should allow for the car to not shut off and not honk the horn after the cycle. Very annoying! Does anyone know if you can extend the cycle?

UVO in the US is stripped and pretty much useless. KIA makes a remote start kit or there are several aftermarket ones you can go with.

Actually, it was a suggestion from somebody who DOES have remote start, as all Canadian cars come with that feature standard in the UVO package. Not using remote start is a personal choice.

And I in no way suggested the OP not use it. I simply pointed out that if it was used AS INTENDED, the car would be driven away before the 10 minute timer expired, and the beep would not be an issue. Leaving the car running for an extended period of time serves no purpose other than burning extra fuel with zero MPG, and increasing emissions.

It still beeps the loud horn when ended. That was the question,how to stop that.

You can pull the alarm rely but then the alarm doesn't work but I can confirm it does stop the horn when the remote start times out and shuts the car down. The horn will still work when press on the steering wheel so that is a plus.

This is what I have done because chances of someone breaking into my car is about 0% but there is a 100% chance that my horn will tick off my neighbors when it goes off multiple times every morning at 6am.

I just purchased a 2021 Kia Seltos. Same exact problem I live in a cul-de-sac at 5:30 in the morning I’m going to work in the same situation with the horn paid $475 to have it installed and now I can’t even use it BS

This is not actually effective as the horn beeps when you turn it off with the remote start or when it times itself out. (you can't get into the car until it turns off)

So Happy I found this thread as everyone was confused as I tried explaining this to the dealership. I still use my remote start.. I just stalk the car at the 9 minute mark (yup I set alarms) and hurry and press the unlock button as soon as the car shuts off to prevent the horn. It is very annoying... & I work midnights so imagine that loud noise when you know your neighbors are in deep sleep by 11pm.

I just looked in the owners manual. It looks like it is in the Engine Compartment fuse panel. It should be the "B/ALARM HORN" which is the Burglar Alarm Horn Relay.

I am going to remove it and try my remote start and report back.
