• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Alberta Stingers Check In

Hey everyone,

I'm in the Langdon / Chestermere / Calgary area.

My wife and I were in the market for a Stinger and ended up going a different way...

However I did order from this site a complete set of Korean OEM badges. Rear logo, wheel caps and hood badge.

Send me a message with an offer and I'll drive them over to you in the area anytime.

Still love the car!! Just went a different way...

Take care folks!

Which badges exactly did you get? I’ll be passing through Calgary this weekend.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Saw a Black Stinger in Edmonton today on 50st heading north around 6pm.

I live in Sask but I’ll have my red Stinger in the Hanna area this weekend on its first real road trip. Does that count as an honorary Albertan Stinger owner?

Probably not enough of us in Sask to warrant our own thread.

Count me in from Saskatoon too!
Funny enough I was JUST in Calgary and Edmonton last week and I spotted 2 Stingers.

Anyone ever gotten or heard of someone getting pulled over for blow off valve sounds?

No - but definitely curious as to why you would ask ... o_O

Have upgrade plans and had funny run ins with the RCMP in the past.

Not sure how they would make anything stick on that - it's a pretty innocuous sound compared to some of the truly obnoxious exhausts that some people are getting away with ...

Saw a Red Stinger here in Edmonton, cruising on 50 Street(seen a lot of Stingers on that road, always going north:thumbdown:)

Pulled up side by side with my twin, a ghost grey on 97 street this morning. Was that you?

Hey guys.

I was around earlier trying to unload badges.. But guess what? Tomorrow my wife and I pick up our GT Limited in Calgary.

We bounced around a Mazda 6 Signature, G70, Accord, A4.... We were more committed to getting a great deal on a car we knew we would love to drive. They all have their pros and cons. We aren't badge snobs at all. We both liked the idea of a Stinger but 2019 financing rates jumped and we wrote it off.

On Sunday I saw a nice gentleman in the parking lot of Southcentre mall in Calgary with a thunder grey Stinger. He kindly spoke with me about his experience and his car looked incredible. He got me to look into it again.

I saw a window of opportunity on a 2018 with the lower financing rates, black Friday deals and included winter tires and were able to work a deal my wife and I felt great about. We went Thunder Grey with red interior.

Dealer has been as good as they get so far. I may elaborate on that later. We've been probing other dealers with other manufacturers in the last few months and man oh man are there some clowns out there.

Excited to read the forum and enjoy the car for years to come. I kept those badges but I'm seeing some horror stories about attempting that.

Congratulations on a wise choice - you're going to love the car! The red interior was a key element for me, and personally I love all the extra doodads that come with the Limited version - more than worth the modest price premium for me.

Don't be too worried about changing the badges, if that's what you want to do. Like pretty much any other glue-on item, removal is actually pretty simple if you are patient and take your time.

Glad to hear you were able to work a deal you are happy with, had a good dealer experience, and got yourself a set of winters for the car. It's amazing on snow and ice. Get out there and have fun!

P.S. If you plan on spending some quality time on here (its a great resource), please add your location to your profile, and a brief description of your car to your signature line. Very, very helpful for all concerned ... :)
