You guys have it pretty good compared to the Aussies. In Perth regular petrol is about $1.55 a litre.

Out on the west coast it's about that. At current exchange rate about $6.00 per gallon.

Just something to bare in mind a US gallon is 3.78 litres. A UK/Aus gallon is 4.54 litres.
Our fuel has gone through the roof lately because of the Iran- Saudi excuse .Prices went up overnight as soon as the attack was announced.

Yeah, the states has way too cheap gas. In sweden we pay roughly the double per gallon.

You must not be in western NC, where the usual price is $2.50/gallon. Premium tops $3.

91 was $5.29/gallon last night in Quebec ($1.40/L).
Regular (87) is about $4.16/gallon ($1.10/L)

Eastern NC for me. It is really cheap right now. Costco helps as well. They have very cheap premium gas which I need until I get my Telluride.

We get hosed for premium fuel in Canada. It used to be that all the big retailers all charged 20c a liter more for 91 octane vs 87. So if it was 1.21/L for 87 and 1.41/L for 91, that is "only" 17% more per liter. When 87 octane fuel was 0.85/L a couple years ago, premium was 1.05/L, 24% more per liter. Now it's about 0.95/L for 87 and 1.21/L for premium which is 27% more per liter. It just keeps going up! An expert from an article I read a couple years ago claims the true cost different between 87 and 91 octane with additives is about 5c a liter.
California averages I just pulled from AAA Gas prices is 4.187/gallon (1.11/L) and premium is 4.462/gallon (1.18/L). That's only 7c a liter higher / 6% higher per liter.
To top it off, our high octane fuels seem questionably worse than equivalent equal octane USA fuel.
What the heck!?
