2020 Stinger Rumors

It can adjust the cruise control speed to that of the particular road you're on using GPS - the Stinger doesn't do that, correct?

The Telluride's stop-and-go doesn't require you to press the gas after >3 seconds of being at a stop - it'll go longer. The Telluride can go 2 minutes without the steering wheel being touched while the Stinger is more like 15 seconds.

How is that different from Smart Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist? I wasn't aware that the Telluride had more advanced driver assist stuff than the latest Stinger. Does it?
Maybe it has the speed sign recognition built into it that will adjust your speed to whatever speed zone you are in.

The 2020 Genesis G70 cars are hitting dealers lots now In the US. The 2020 Stingers can’t be too far behind that.

New 2020 Genesis G70 For Sale in Cary NC | VIN: KMTG54LE6LU046381

I was over there Saturday getting my oil changed. I completely forgot about the Hyundai dealership down the street. I would have loved to check out a G70 while waiting.

I didn't see anything at the dealership (brochure, poster, etc) indicating a new MY for the Stinger. Maybe there was some kind of production issue in SK. Who knows...

Stinger sales were not good last month. Not “Infiniti bad” but not good. I honestly wonder if 2020 production will be delayed if not reduced significantly.

If I was Kia I would be pumping out as many Kia Telluride SX as I possibly could. Those are the hot ticket right now.

I asked a dealer that posts here about if Kia will make a 2020 Stinger for the U.S. market and he said they received brochures for the new model year. However, I have a feeling he may have mistook a brochure with a GTS on it for a new model year Stinger. At this point it is rather strange that Kia has no mention of a 2020 Stinger on their website or anywhere else on the internet. Normally new model year vehicles go on sale in the summer, so we should have already seen something, similar to Canada and Australia.

Kia, in their infinite wisdom, gave the dam Optima better options than the Stinger.......... It wouldn't surprise me one bit that the Telluride, and even the Forte, have better options than the Stinger..... Kia does weird s*** with the Stinger which baffles all of us. I wouldn't get rid of mine for anything, I'm just saying, lol. :D:D

It actually makes sense. The Optima SXL had all the fancy tech of the 2019 Stinger way back in 2015 when it was released. The Stinger's tech is derived from the Optimas'. Same for the Telluride. The new/cool stuff (like the blindspot blinker things) in the Telluride has been derived from the K900. You joke about the Forte but it actually does have very similar tech (I think the Forte's infotainment screen may be identical) to the Stinger, because it was built 2 years after the Stinger was.

It makes sense that Kia trickles it's tech down from newer models to older.

Oh yeah, I was just saying it doesn't surprise me. I looked at the 2020 Forte GT for a co-worker who is car searching and that little car is badass!

Kia sales overall are good. However, sedans just aren’t what is selling well right now. Big SUVs are everything at the moment. Cheap gas, I guess?

There are a lot of companies(Infiniti, Genesis, Nissan....etc) who have rolled out 2020 model year cars very quietly. The cars just show up on the lots without any prior notice.

Cheap gas my a$$. Massive price jump in Cali and I still see people with those 10mpg trackhawks lol. Must be due to the oil attacks.

We got the best tech of all: 3.3TT :-)

By not giving us all the tech at the start, they can keep improving the Stinger. 2020 gets a bit more tech, 2021 a bit more, etc.. Common move by many manufacturers, when they have a model that's not in crazy competition. The Optima has to have all the tech to compete with Camry/Accord. There's not as much competition for the Stinger.

Gas is super cheap here in North Carolina. Regular gas is about $2.30 a gallon. 93 Octane is $2.60 a gallon at Costco.

How about 4:20 for 91oct? That's low, i have seen 4:60 sometimes. Welcome to CA baby where everyone is high af to drive massive 10mpgs SUVs lol.

That is just crazy. $4.60 a gallon is insane. My wife has an Infiniti QX80 that gets about 13 mpg and only takes premium. $4.60 a gallon would absolutely kill the deal for us. $2.60 a gallon isn’t great for that car but still somewhat manageable.

$2.35 for 89 and $2.95 for 93 here in Michigan, most I've paid for 93 since owning the Stinger over the last 18 months was $3.35.

We don't even have 93, most common "premium" is 91. For 4:20 a gallon ...... At least my current car gets 31mpg. Something. Maybe down hill. Oh why does it have to take premium lol. constant battle between my right foot and the gas prices lol.
