So after doing a lot of reading and some research, I think I'm gonna get the jb4, the velossa tech big mouth air intake, a bigger intercooler, and probably a bigger air filter.

At the moment of these are just pie in the sky ideas, but I figure it's a good starting point for putting together my list. I'm not entirely sure when I'd be doing anything either (winter tyres are a bigger priority right now lol) but it's fun 5o dream!

Sounds like a good start. JB4 a must for 2.0t!!!

Hello guys, glad to have found you! For now I am just lurking around, checking out forums and opinions on how to proceed. I have driven a 1995 BMW 525i for the past 2.5 years and while it has been a lot of fun, it has also had its fair share of repairs and expenses associated with it... I am looking to replace it in the not so distant future with something that is equally fun to drive, offers good comfort and better reliability. Stinger 2.0 is probably the leading contender in my book due to the good list of standard features, the 7-year warranty we get in Europe and, of course, the price. I also love the practicality of the hatchback styling. Other contenders are the BMW G20 320i and the base Lexus IS (though both are notably more expensive than the Stinger).

Quality issues are one thing that often comes up in my conversations with other people regarding this car, although most of those people have never even owned a Stinger. I would appreciate any actual 2.0 owners here willing to chime in with their opinion on the build quality of these cars (drivetrain issues, paint quality, sunroof nightmares?).
I've had my Premium 2.0T since January '19, 12,000 miles, and I'd say it's just pretty good quality-wise ... not great, but okay.

I've had a front passenger door "droop" to the extent it started to hang up on the B-pillar at the top rear corner of the door, and the dealer had to send it to the body shop to re-adjust the door hinges. There is the well-known thump-in-the-trunk where the hatch makes a thump when I go over sharp bumps or cracks in the road. The easy-fix washers helped for awhile but it's back. And I have an odd rattle in the roof area over the front passenger door or in the B-pillar (hard to isolate it). Overall it just doesn't seem as well-constructed as recent cars I've owned.

My only comment about all this is that my previous two Optimas did not have any of these issues. They were tight and well screwed together cars, and I sometimes think the Stinger wasn't quite ready for prime time. And I also think I expected Korean assembly to be like Japanese assembly, but I think the cars built in Georgia are better-built.

I gapped the plugs and I have not gotten the catch can yet but I plan too.
The JB4 and BMS pedal tuner is the best money ever spent. It really wakes up the 2.0t
I can only imagine what happen to the 3.3..

I also have the BMS Pedal Tuner and love it. I ordered some Akrapovic Carbons tips and the NGM Air Intake from Import Shark! Only thing left is the Jb4 or the LAP3 as I’d like it to be quite and quick plus inline 4’s never sound that mean.

I have the BMS Pedal Tuner and love it. Very easy. I just ordered Carbon Fiber Akrapovic tips and next is NGM short ram air intake with the Injen Filter and then either a Jb4 or LAP3 Uncle Tuner. Want to be quiet and quick due to inline 4’s don’t sound too mean with exhaust and for the price compared to the horsepower gain not really on my list.

Stock catch can?

That sounds awesome!!

Sorry not the biggest car guy, did you do anything besides gap and change your spark plugs?
I just gapped the factory plugs. Actually I'm not much of a car guy either. I had a guy from Solo Motoraports in Atlanta gap the plugs, install the jb4 and my cold air intake. I did the pedal tuner myself.
When I added this stuff to my car I had 6k miles on it. I bought a really good fuel injector cleaner ($25) and ran that through after installing everything.
I plan on doing the catch can but from what I'm told and what I have read, if your just driving to work and runnin around town, it's not dire that you do it right away. I'm going to do it eventually just for piece of mind.
