My Dealer just received a 2019 Stinger GT Limited! (Canada)

Lets take stock of where we are. First off
Fees included as well? If so that's a good price.

Let me be clear. I was commenting on your price of $49,500 plus tax only. That's add up to $55,935CDN. No other fees (or taxes on those fee's) is about a 3k saving's. SKStinger can you confirm this or did I get the "all in" price wrong. I see you have splattered your dealer info on several threads ..just want to make sure this is not ploy to direct people to a specific dealer... Secondly forzanerazzuui, it didn't take long to find that many of your threads have bashed KIA so we should take your comments with that in mind and... we can' blame KIA for ~13% tax on cars in Canada. The best I can do on a 2019 Stinger GTL at this point is $57,500 all in.. I would love to make up that extra $1,500 if I could... but I am not in Regina...

I have to remind myself that some of you have to pay PST or HST. Makes a big difference. Almost 60k for a KIA though, ouch.

Taxes in $55 to $56k is a good deal for those of us paying both taxes. That’s why it’s important for us to negotiate. I wouldn’t pay 60k for this car but at 55 no questions asked!

For me in SK at 6% pst with both taxes I was at $55,595 out the door. No other taxes or fees. I’m not sure “splattered” is fair. I have a thread I created where I’ve discussed my purchasing experience and it helped me find this dealer/deal so I’m thankful for that. And then I’ve posted in this thread to help prospective buyers get the best deal possible! I have no affiliation to that dealer.

Not sure if the GTL is equivalent to a GT2 or GT1 in the US, but 55K CDN is about 42K US. If it includes taxes, that’s a steal.

GT Limited is the equivalent to GT2 (although with more options) and is MSRP $50k CAD, which is about $39k USD.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I may just buy one in Canada. Lol. The funny thing is the US doesn’t get some colors and our standard colors like blue and ghost gray are considered premium colors in Canada. The lack of options still boggles my mind and they are options that are fairly standard on other cars in the US. I’m close to the border and wondering how complicated it would be to purchase one and bring to the US. I wouldn’t have to pay the PST and would only be subject to a 2.5% import tax less the $400 exemption I’m looking at maybe $500. The big question does the car pass US emission standards...

Youre right, I should have applauded and promoted kia for their wonderful paint application. My mistake. I own a KIA, ive spent my hard earned money on the brand. Its my god damn right to criticize them when deserved. Stop being such a snowflake.

OK. Splattered was strong, but I wanted to be sure I was wrong and you just confirmed that. Thanks.. I had the tax wrong as well...

Does anyone know anything about the 2.0T Canadian model? What differences it has to the Canadian GT / GT limited?

So I'm going to reply to my own question since I just found some information out and someone else might be curious about this.

Here are the differences I can find so far between the base GT 3.3tt vs the GT 2.0T in Canada.

The 2.0T gets:
  • Piano black trim inside instead of the carbon fiber trim
  • Standard T-style gear shift instead of the electronic one
  • Plastic door sills instead of metal
  • Loses the power lift gate
  • Gains the wireless phone charger over the base GT 3.3tt (I think this is the case)
  • Loses the GT wheels and gets a downgraded 18" wheel
  • Loses the Brembo brakes all around
  • Gets a "GT Line" badge instead of the standard "GT" badge
  • Of course gets the 2.0T vs the 3.3tt
