Is fuel economy better with the neutral coasting advertised in MY19?
Not sure yet but that’s what that feature is designed for. The menu option for it states that it is only usable for economy and smart drive modes.
Thanks SKStinger, and congratulations!
Was looking for an easy answer, is the Canadian rated fuel economy better in 2019?
It's posted on window stickers in the US.
I looked it up on the US EPA site and MPG appears the same. I'm interested for a couple reasons, one being I drive a manual transmission today and coast a good bit since it's so easy
Thanks
I drove it straight to the wheel shop and had some Niche Vosso’s installed.
Do the tire pressure sensors still work with the custom rims?
And did the 4 stock rims all fit in the back?
I put the stock wheels in the Niche wheel boxes and all 4 fit no problem in the back with the seats down!
Talk about oddly satisfying. I'd grown so attached to the hatch on my RSX that I just couldn't pull the trigger on a Q50/IS350 last year.
If I'm spending that kind of money, losing the fastback is a deal breaker. Call it fate, but I'm glad I passed them up.![]()
I watched that video on YouTube the other day, I can’t see any real difference in the Canadian MY19 compared to the Australian MY18 GT. I stand to be corrected there may be slight differences in some of the settings/features but I couldn’t see it in the video
Canadian 3.3L Stingers basically didn't change between 2018 and 2019. The big changes people are talking about are only for US Stingers, which lacked some of the options available outside the US. For the US, the 2019 model is basically now like some global 2018 models. So far, it seems like there are no fundamentally new additions to any market's 2019 Stinger.
We don’t have the ambient lighting inside, can only adjust active engine sound in custom mode not in the others and can’t turn it off completely so maybe they’ll add those options to the MY19 Australian model. As for the hatch rattle, Harmon Kardon issues and the paint, touch wood I haven’t had any issues so farAll i've noticed so far are minor tweaks on the Canadian version.
You can turn off or change the active engine sound, pretty sure the 18's don't have that. You also get the neutral coasting we were talking about above. And the 19's won't have some of the early '18 gremlins like the rear hatch rattle, the fader issue with the Harmon Kardon system and hopefully no paint problems! Mine looks good so far!
No how you feel, I leased a 2002 RSX Type S in Cal. and when I retired drove it back to Florida. Had all my stuff, TV, cloths, boxes etc in the hatch. Great little car. Like hatches, SUV's etc.Talk about oddly satisfying. I'd grown so attached to the hatch on my RSX that I just couldn't pull the trigger on a Q50/IS350 last year.

Picked it up today. Love everything about it so far! I drove it straight to the wheel shop and had some Niche Vosso’s installed.
Here are some photos.
Highly recommend Sherwood Kia in Sherwood Park Alberta. Talk to Scott.
They’ve shipped Stingers all over western Canada and know their stuff. Made dealing over the phone/electronically easy and comfortable. They also gave me the price I wanted as I was able to get this car for $49,500 plus taxes. No fees and accessories at dealer cost.
Thats a ripoff._______________________
About to pull trigger of 2019 GTL. Just to be sure..all in price was $55,935CDN inc tax.....If so.. Nice deal.. Can't get that in the Toronto area...

Thats at least 3k off assuming he's getting nothing else with the deal, how is that a ripoff exactly?Thats a ripoff.
I have to remind myself that some of you have to pay PST or HST. Makes a big difference. Almost 60k for a KIA though, ouch.Thats at least 3k off assuming he's getting nothing else with the deal, how is that a ripoff exactly?
