Stalker! Lol.I first saw my Stinger in the holding yard, with the protective plastic still on it, back on the 25 february.
I had the bimodal exhaust on my paperwork, but because it was not available, i had it removed, i actually visited my dealership yesterday and heard it on a demo Stinger, quite happy with it, but leaving it for now.Great minds think alike. Do you have the bi-modal exhaust fitted?
It does give the car a whole new dimension having the exhaust regarding sound......but a bit costly I know. Doesn’t make the car go any faster!I had the bimodal exhaust on my paperwork, but because it was not available, i had it removed, i actually visited my dealership yesterday and heard it on a demo Stinger, quite happy with it, but leaving it for now.

Didn't you have the bi-modal exhaust that is on the Kia Motors Australia website, which is classified as an accessory, not sure what you mean, that you have a bi-modal exhaust from KMA ( Kia Motors America)?? Do you mean Kia Motors Australia??Has anyone had this issue?
I rang my insurance company (Budget Direct) on Tuesday to let them know that I've had the KMA (Kia Motors America) Bi-Modal exhaust fitted amongst other accessories. I was informed that they had to forward it to their underwriter (Auto and General Insurance) because it's not on their option list. They got back to me today to tell me the underwriter will no longer be able to cover me as it's a modification, even though it's a KMA (Kia Motors America) option and I have 7 days to seek alternative cover. I will get cover from other underwriters but this has really got me pissed, I've been with them for 6 years.
I also want to let others know to avoid someone having their claim/insurance refused because of it.
Just goes to show you that some Insurers wouldn’t have a clue.Has anyone had this issue?

Yes, you are correct, im with AAMI and anything non factory is considered a modification, maybe even tinted windows, and Ceramic Coating, and of course Bi-modal exhaust.Yes, the Bi-Modal exhaust that is on the KMA (Kia Motors America) (Kia Motors Australia) website and is listed as an accessory, yet they call any change to an exhaust (including just the tips) a ‘modification’.
