Undercarriage protector???

I didn't think these were under carriage protectors but streamlining devices

From the My 23 Brochure...

""

Aerodynamics

While the aerodynamic aspects of the silhouette are plain to see, the Stinger also boasts vital drag reduction features that improve airflow underneath the car. It uses specially designed undercovers, below the engine and transmission, each side of the cabin and each side of the rear suspension. These covers reduce the air flow resistance on the underside of the body when travelling at higher speeds""

Mine flipped down while I was on the highway today. The sound scared me half to death. Was held on by zip ties. Guess that was part of their "Certified pre-owned inspection". I expect a battle at the dealership once they get back to me. Just got the car last month.
lol I swear it sounds like a freaking airplane !!!

Hello,

This 2019 stinger part came down today after I went over a slight dip in the road. Can anyone tell me what it's called and if it is expensive to replace? It feels like a particle board-like material. We had to cut it away to drive it, but I'm worried about what it does. Is it a water protector?
it is nothing dangerous my protect nothing I replace it for a thousand dollars on insurance n it's back down

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I wonder if there is a product that could be sprayed/brushed on the covers to strengthen/reinforce them...
Thoughts?

Fiberglass resin !

It's not an under carriage protector. It is for streamlining purposes only hence it is a flimsy piece of cover. Read my earlier post

I never heard. Where would those be? Of course you are joking.

There ya go. Many people have this now and it is way better than Oem. They offer CF, plastic and Aluminum.

Man, that is a lot of nuts and bolts! But it isn't going to come apart any time soon. And the question is, how does this splitter under tray combo affect bumper cover removal? Do you have to take the whole thing apart to get the bumper cover off?

When you refer to the bumper cover, are you just talking about the bumper? For that, I am not too sure. I personally don’t own it but a few of the guys from the Chicago group have had it installed. As for the oil drain, there are 3 bolts holding a small plate in. When the guys were talking, one of the guys made it sound like it was pretty simple and quick to remove the entire bumper.

The installation video talks about bolting the splitter directly to the underside of the bumper cover - the painted plastic part that everyone calls "the bumper", but it really isn't, it covers the crash bar behind it, like all modern cars have. The installer drilled eleven 1/4" holes through the bumper cover once the splitter was in place with the half a dozen or so mounting bolts. The eleven additional bolts appear to be for added security. Obviously far more secure than the half dozen or so plastic clips that hold on the OEM front under tray. Ima guessing that the entire assembly of bumper cover and aftermarket, bolted on, splitter comes off together. It overlaps with the other two sections somehow, they stay on the car when the bumper cover and aftermarket, bolted on, splitter come off. This is all deduction of course, I don't know anymore than what I gleaned from the video.

Already ordered mine. You can only get the front plate from K8stinger store (they collaborated on the design), but you can get the oil pan plate from fspe.

Cool. I'm in.

Great idea...

Got mine. Excellent quality, good hardware and instructions.
