EK1Pro Tune - Sixth Element

Well, based on that you can just plug and play a LSD (Limited Slip Differential) from a RWD car into any of our AWD cars, the difference would have to be in the programming somewhere. Logically it would make sense if the extra programing just told the front diff to not engage, as you can get the same effect by pulling the AWD fuse when the car is not on.
my guess that would be in the transfer case when you pull the fuse. it uses oil pressure give the front and back the different power ratios

*edit - looks like there is another computer that controls the transfer case

There's an AWD module located just above the gas pedal that controls the power ratio from the rear to the front. From what I gathered from another thread the GTS has a bypass switch that cuts off power to that fuse. I only know this because I have a bad AWD drive module. I have a new one on order but I've taken that fuse out so I don't get a code while I wait for the new module.

so you are driving the car in RWD right now with just that fuse pulled? the one in the engine bay box is still in?

I'm inclined to agree unless there's some changes in programming for the brake torque vectoring. I know that drift mode is suppose to take into account steering angle so that also implies programming somewhere. I'm starting to lean toward buying a used TCU and keeping the stock one on the shelf for the day that I move on to something else. In the end I don't want to lose one of the features that was unique to the GTS (and possibly the Indigo version) when it gets passed on.

No the engine bay one is pulled and yes I'm RWD only at the moment.

Ahhh, so is there a fuse by the AWD box as well that the switch in the GTS cuts power to? or are you referring to the one in the engine bay in that post. Just want to be clear about it.

No there's an entire AWD module near the gas pedal that controls power transfer from front to back but I don't know if the GTS bypasses that or the fuse in the engine bay. I know there have been a few people that have fabricated a fuse tap that cuts of AWD system but you have to flip that bypass with the engine off or it will throw a code. I believe with the GTS their bypass can be done with the engine running so I'm inclined to believe that they send a signal to the module itself.

do you have the capability of just disconnecting the module while the car is in park to see what happens?

I dunno if I want to mess with that on my own car lol

Got my lite today.

Sadly no maps for my calibration (CKLN3TMD_J0A). Guess custom is the plan.

BTW, where do we find the TCU calibration ID on these cars?

Send Nathan a message. He may have you download an existing calibration file like I did. Once you download that file your calibration ID will change again. If there is still no files then he'll send you a custom tune(s) you can choose from.

I messaged him through the website, just waiting to hear back from him.

He's pretty good about getting back. He had asked my mods and stuff and uploaded a Stage 1 and a couple Stage 2s and the original stock file for changing your ECU back to stock. When I initially flashed my ECU and drove around the ISG wasn't disabled but he revised it and sent me another file and everything's good now. It just takes some comm back and forth.

Which one are you running? How do you like it?
I might get the stage 2 high octane for when I go to the track. Use a little e85 in my pump gas along with WMI.
Stick with the BMS BEF for around town.

I went with the Stage 2 93 Octane one (470whp). Nathan said I can run E-85 mix on it. Keeping the JB4 and Fuel-It kit for Ethanol maintenance. It's running so smooth.

Awesome dude. Any feel for what it might pull in the 1/4 mile?

I couldn't tell you bro. I live in Chicago and there is no open areas for me to do the quarter and I don't launch much.

He's going downhill. His trap is too slow for mid 11's
Makes sense lol. I was like why am I going to pay all this money when I can go no cpi and just custom map 6 on jb4 with a break snip.

Not ek1 related and doesn’t really belong here, but after running no jb4 all winter, I put it on map 4 last night with e33 showing on my jb4 and holy shit. These things have balls. I can’t imagine CPI plus the Sxth stage 2 or 2+ ecu tune and tcu tune.
