my guess that would be in the transfer case when you pull the fuse. it uses oil pressure give the front and back the different power ratiosWell, based on that you can just plug and play a LSD (Limited Slip Differential) from a RWD car into any of our AWD cars, the difference would have to be in the programming somewhere. Logically it would make sense if the extra programing just told the front diff to not engage, as you can get the same effect by pulling the AWD fuse when the car is not on.
