My buyout option is $26k, blue book for mine is $35-$37k trade in, and $40k private sale.
Im driving some other vehicles to see if there is anything to tempt me to sell and so far, no luck. Everything else either feels too plastic on the inside OR is not getting very good reviews. Another problem is to get some of the features we got standard on our Stingers, means going way up in trim on another vehicle.
It turns out buying my own car out at $26k with all the features it has an low miles is a STEAL. However obviously I could roll the equity I get from selling it into a new purchase and get something nice as well.
As a side note, I was at a dealer the other day to test drive a new
Sorento with the 2.5T and they have a Stinger GT2 in the showroom, black. It had the worst orange peel paintjob of almost anything I've ever seen. I would never be able to walk up to it and enjoy it. My car (panthera gray) has slight orange peel on the hatch lid but thats it. It's not on the roof or hood or doors which is all I can really see on a daily basis walking up to the car. On the main surfaces the paint is spectacular to look it especially in sunlight.
Is it just black that has that problem or are the 2023 Stinger paint jobs worse than older years?
