Hey all. I am curious what the community thinks is better. I am pretty new to the world of modifying cars so any information would be a great help. Cheers!
Altitude, definitely affects things. I am at altitude as well (although at 3800 'not as high as yours) I can, however go to the track close to sea level. Running 11.80 with a jb4 and WMI on map 7.Lozic has been so great to me. Any changes or recommendations and he will just send me a new ECU then I send the old one back. The tuning is on point and im running so really good numbers. Lap3 does look nice though but the communcation has been awesome with Lozic. Im at 6200' elevation so my times are off so its hard to compare but at that elevation I was able to run a 4.1 0-60 and a 12.2 1/4 mile.
Why is that?JB4 and our BEF loaded via the sxth at home flash tool is a much better use of your money.
I have had 2 different Lozic tunes, a Lap3 and, a JB4.Hey all. I am curious what the community thinks is better. I am pretty new to the world of modifying cars so any information would be a great help. Cheers!

@Slip_Angle What power by mode did you choose for your 1.3 Lozic ECU if you don’t mind me asking bro? I am ordering today and wanted to know pleaseBoth seem pretty good. Lozic is lower priced and has a TON of options and flexibility. Lap3 holds the records right now and seems to have good customer support as well.

That is very informative. I will also be running 91 octane. So my last question is (Same power level for all modes. In comfort mode it's just effortless and smooth. In sport it's a rocket. I also have boost ready ON. Mine is a 91 octane 1.3bar but will self adjust if I happen to fill with higher octane and ramp up power.
Love it
That’s very informative. Thanks Slip. I will also be running 91 octane. I’m in the Bay Area Killa Kali I see your in OC area not too far from me. How does Eco mode feel? Not that I ride in that very much at all… Does your G70 have Smart and Custom Modes? I asked Lozic about Smart and Custom but I didn’t understand his answer. Can you give me a little insight on those? As well as Eco? I will be DD commuting and a few track days here and there at Sonoma Raceway and Sacramento Raceway so I was thinking of getting the 1.4 but seems like the 1.3 maybe a better choosing. I can tell you really like it!!!Same power level for all modes. In comfort mode it's just effortless and smooth. In sport it's a rocket. I also have boost ready ON. I’d definitely like to hear more.JB4 and our BEF loaded via the sxth at home flash tool is a much better use of your money.

Thanks for all your help @Slip_Angle
Thank you as well @CoconutRob
For linking me with Slip
Yea Buddy, I see what your saying. I was just wondering if Smart and Custom were tuned as well. I’m sure they probably are and I will ask Lozic again and see if he can break it down. But either way I don’t use those modes either much. I appreciate you and your help.Eco is really sedate and not something I use much. I also don't use Smart mode. I'm in comfort or Sport most of the time and sometimes custom for bad winter roads.
The Lozic 1.3bar is tried and tested. Very smooth and lots of power when you want it. If you are just driving normally, it's sedate and smooth but power is always on tap.
The install is just the ECU... 5 minutes. Nothing to adjust, nothing to wire up. One and done.
Yeah they are. Smart is a combo of the different modes depending on how much throttle you apply. Custom is whatever you tell it to be.. in my case, sport plus AWD, light steering.Yea Buddy, I see what your saying. I was just wondering if Smart and Custom were tuned as well. Ok I get it now that makes a lot of senseYeah they are. Smart is a combo of the different modes depending on how much throttle you apply. Custom is whatever you tell it to be.. in my case, sport plus AWD, light steering.
@SoulJacker What's going on? I'm new to the Stinger myself but I have driven muscle cars for most of my life. I like the reliability and power punch of the Stinger. It all depends on what performance you are looking to get out of your car. I can say whatever you choose you should not be disappointed.Hey all I'm new to the performance platform. This is my first vehicle that decent performance. My previous two cars were a '13 and' 15 optima sx non-turbos. The stinger is now my daily driver and I'm able to drive it spiritually when I want the extra power lol. What would you guys recommend? I mainly drive comfort and switch to sport when I want to go fast. I have no desire to track the car if anything try drifting one day but that's about it.
Thanks for steering me in the right direction. I definitely want to aim for better temps/cooling. I want the engine to be not so restricted when the demand is required. I'm in California so a lot of products don't have a carb number. It's pretty lame still won't stop me though lol.@SoulJacker What's going on? Maybe I would go with some drop in Filters for the intakes. I would add snorkels and remove the OEM elbow that is restricting some of the Stingers air flow. You will need to take the bumper off to remove the elbows but it's pretty simple. I would definitely look into a TCU/ECU tune which is a little pricey but well worth it. But once you get the ECU you will need to get performance spark plugs. If you get the TCU you don't need to change the plugs. Everything I am going over I learned from this forum reading hours of other ppls threads. I would read, read, read then ask a question before I made my final decision. It all depends on what you like. But whatever you do I'm sure you'll love it.
@SoulJacker I am also in California and yes the smogging of vehicles is Terrible out here. The temps/cooling on the Stinger are pretty good already in my opinion UNLESS you are gonna really tune your car excessively I think you should be OK. But it's all about preference. It can't hurt to upgrade your system. But for sure the intakes can be changed out with drop in filters or Cold Air Intake/ Hot Air intake. Lol I say hot because a lot of the intakes for Stinger ARE NOT true CAIThanks for steering me in the right direction. I definitely want to aim for better temps/cooling.
