2018 European Stinger here... Yes, they do. My brake vibrate a lot. Already replaced then under warranty. Stayed good for a couple of weeks. Then started again...Hello from Canada.
I just wanted to ask if you also suffer from the dreaded front brake vibrations? From what is discussed on this site is the euro spec brakes don't have the issue
is that true?
thank you
There's really no way they could still be putting "bad" pads on there.2018 European Stinger here... Yes, they do. My brake vibrate a lot. Already replaced then under warranty. Stayed good for a couple of weeks. Then started again...
is it though? how would a class action focus on the actionable cause? my stingers have not done the vibration thing. some on here have gone aftermarket and had it anyway. it sounds like your saying individual vehicles and not a design fault of Kia with the Stinger.but this is way way past "bad pads".
Just look at how widespread it is.is it though? how would a class action focus on the actionable cause? my stingers have not done the vibration thing. some on here have gone aftermarket and had it anyway. it sounds like your saying individual vehicles and not a design fault of Kia with the Stinger.
but what is 'it' if it isn't pads? what is causing the vibrations interface between pads and discs, when it isn't even a majority of vehicles afflicted with vibrating brakes?Just look at how widespread it is.
iT was indeed the pads for me.but what is 'it' if it isn't pads? what is causing the vibrations interface between pads and discs, when it isn't even a majority of vehicles afflicted with vibrating brakes?
and for many others. I don't understand @RM7's assertion, "but this is way way past "bad pads". I'm trying to understand what the class action could possibly be for if not pads, if that doesn't address what is 'way past bad pads.'iT was indeed the pads for me.
I’m in the UK and had this issue. The discs and pads were replace under warranty but it was back within a short time. It is the only reason I didn’t keep the Stinger.
I am finding it is actually an issue with the design of the car itself and the rotors kia installed dont help. Why? Air. There is not enough air getting to the rotors and brakes. I live in California, where it gets quite hot in the summers and I noticed as well my brakes/rotors get super hot on regular driving in the summer time. Now where does this come into play in with the rotors you ask? No there not warped, they just can't clean themselves and the brake deposits collect, solidify causing an uneven surface, and shudder here we come.Hello from Canada.
