Has anyone figured how to get this to work?

Seems like it would be a pretty nifty feature allowing you to identify the current song being played using SoundHound.

All I get is this20221029_224836_resize_69.webp

I explored all of www.myuvo.ca, and found absolutely nothing on the topic.

Anyone get it working?

Same here.... I am going to do a support request and see what happens

I too, have done that, with an email to Consumer@kia.ca

If you are in the USA, you may get better/different results than me

Gentlemen, I googled it:

possibly you find your answers there.

It would appear, that you need to install the application on your phones....
I don't think that is how the new feature integrated into the FM tuner is going to work.

I have used SoundHound on my phone for many years, I am very familiar with how it works on a cell phone.

It appears as though they have added this app to the car directly, for FM radio.
You do not need your phone with you, to listen to the FM radio in the car.

I can understand why you would need to sign in, to link your account with your car, but they have failed to provide such linkage at the website in the error message. www.myuvo.ca

Is this in the latest nav update? I've never seen that logo / icon on my '19 GT1..

No doubt...

Already went through this with the valet mode they added last year around this time.

Eventually they fixed it.

So based on that, the spring updates are the good ones. Fall updates are beta tests?

It's. It so much the "update" that went wrong on both this, and the previous valet mode issue.

The solution to the valet mode issue was with the supporting software (kia connect).

The issue with this SoundHound integration so far appears that there is no provisions to complete the setup at (www.myuvo.ca / www.kiaconnect.ca / Kia connect app).

It's as if Kia software groups don't test their software, at all, before releasing.

^^And you expect them to?

That's the customer's job.

It wouldn't surprise me if they pull the update for a few weeks then rerelease it like they did back in spring.

Thanks. Missed that. Anyone in the US get it? I don't have myuvo.com set up, and I can't seem to ever set it up properly either..

I did the update on my '22 GT1 this afternoon. The Soundhound icon was there and when I touched it, it spun and presented both the album art and the song name. I was never asked for any other info or account setup. Note that the was on an HD FM station in the US, and AFAIK I do NOT have a Soundhound account.

Well that's awesome... I want mine to do that.
My original screenshots in this thread are also on an HD FM station

Sounds like a US vs Canada difference.

Sounds like a US vs Canada difference.
But the Canadian car tells me to complete some kinda setup... It seems like it is supposed to work.
Can't wait to see what Kia Canada says about it.
