• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Stinger GT Arrivals in Australia

Which piece of feedback from KAS helped identify that this a MY23? What are the differences between the ’22 and ’23?
The new brushed metal-look 'GT' badges signify it's a '23.

Can you link or take a pic of the new ’23 GT badge? My GT badge is different to others‘ so I’m now hoping it’s a MY23 Stinger as well. That would be strange but most welcome for a car that was manufactured in April 2022 with compliance in May 2022!

If your badge is different from others' then I'm sure yours must be the same as mine. It's raining outside so I found a photo of a GT-line badge off an EV6 - just ignore the 'Line' on the picture below.

Likely the GT badge, they redesigned it for the MY23, I don't think there are any other differences between MY22>23

Edit: Disregard, my thread was way out of date so answered an already-answered question

So now I'm off to order the brushed metal-look 14" Stinger badge for the boot, rather than using the chrome badge I had ready to go.
I did the same - bought a chrome Stinger script badge during the course of last year while waiting for my car to get here. Only recently did I become aware of the brushed aluminium version to match the front end badge.

I've already put the chrome badge on, and I've got one of the aluminium ones now too, but I haven't been bothered to swap them over as yet. The chrome script looks good anyway, and given its on the rear I tell myself its consistent with the chrome of the exhaust tips.

Re the ventilation controls, yes, I've been reading that thread too. Not sure whether mine is sunroof-related as I haven't been using the sunroof for the last couple of months coz of the weather here, but I will look into that info further to see if I can work out what's going on.

What's your build date? Just interested how long it took for delivery, with mine being a Jan 2022 build date and I got it in Feb 2022.

Your chrome Stinger badge would match your GT badge.

Mine was built in April and delivered in June.

Picked up my new Stinger today. It's been raining today so I drove it straight home from the dealership (luckily it didn't get wet). Initial observations from that 15 minute drive:
  • In sport mode the suspension is much firmer compared to my pre-facelift Stinger and probably only suited to a track. Comfort mode is similar.
  • In sport mode the bi-modal exhaust is much louder at low revs than the standard exhaust on my previous one. In comfort mode I can't tell much difference.
  • Head-up display is even better than before - the speed readout on the old one did not change from green to yellow and then red depending on how much faster you were going than the speed limit.
  • Bigger navigation screen gives a surprisingly big lift to the interior ambiance compared to the 8" screen.
  • Similarly, the 'watch strap' stitching and perforations on the seats and stitching on the panel on which the air vents are located also make the interior feel much more luxurious. They really did put a lot of time and effort into the refresh.
Interestingly, mine has the brushed metal-look 'GT' badge on the boot and embossing on the headrests. So now I'm off to order the brushed metal-look 14" Stinger badge for the boot, rather than using the chrome badge I had ready to go.
Another observation: when my 2023 Stinger is in 'comfort' mode the compression and rebounding damping are both much stronger than the damping of my 2019.

On one of the roads near my house there is a pronounced dip. Most cars (including my 2019 Stinger) feel very 'floaty' going over it at 80km/h - cars seem to 'fall' into the dip and then rebound upwards.

My 2023 feels like it's 'tied down' much more because there's much less vertical movement over that dip. Which is quite remarkable given that the ride quality is just as good as my 2019.
