The Scorpion spoiler arrived today and I am very pleased

Amazing, been trying to figure this out, so the spoiler comes with the lid attached so no drilling holes right?

Yes comes with the wing attached to the deck lid, the wing is removable but only when the deck lid is removed.

Great thank you! Unfortunately like people are saying it’s backordered and I can’t get one rn, even ordered one with parts dept and they said they had to refund it :/ might just settle for the m&s lip

They can’t put you on a wait list or something? Did they give an eta in when the parts will be back

Right? They said they have no idea on the ETA and said prob at least 6-8 weeks but they don't know. They said I have to pay for it if I want to order it and wait so I paid for the part. 4 hours later they issued a refund for it saying they can't get it right now. Maybe I'll have to try again through a different dealership

You wont be able to. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and was told it was the last one available in NA for the time being. Every order will be canceled till more arrive off the boat.

Not sure, Type G and Type S are most popular on KDM wherehouse but prob going to research all spoiler options, not just M&S. Any suggestions?

Welp, im more of a fan of the carbon deck lids myself. Currently I have a C style Deck lid that will be coming off once I get my scorpion spoiler back from having work done to it. it needs to be polished and cleaned up a bit from the winter, but Ill probably be selling that once my Scorpion is on.

Gotcha, I have a black stinger and trying to go for an all black look. That scorpian looks awesome so kinda sad but I'm sure one of the lips will still look cool.

Took about 15-20 minutes, wedged up one side and then pulled up on the other and it popped off.

7 nuts and a strip of double sided tape along the front window edge.

You must have some serious balls if removing the deck lid from the glass only took 20 minutes. it took me an hour when I did mine and it felt like I was going to shatter the rear glass when I was doing it.

The lid isn't attached to the glass from what I can see in video's. Was there alot of cleanup underneath the old lid to be done or just remove the 3M tape?

Just removing the old tape, but depending on the year of your car, it could be a bitch and a half to do. also, technically, its not attached directly to the glass, however to pry off the lid, any tool you use is going to be pressed against the glass, putting force on it.

I am a retired mechanic, I lifted from the sides and never got close to the glass. If you do it cold the tape releases easy.
